Norfolk Christian is a wonderful environment for education! The teachers are loving and dedicated to supporting each student academically and spiritually. There is a strong sense of community throughout the school!

Poor leadership. Several long standing families and employees have left the school as a result of the principal's unscrupulous behavior. She is more concerned with bringing in tuition than she is with doing what is in the best interest of the school and the students. She makes promises to both parents and staff that never come to fruition. Our family fell prey to many of her lies, and decided to leave last year after none of her promises were fulfilled. Our child did not have a teacher for a good portion of the school year. Teacher quit in October and was not replaced until mid-January. We were paying quite a bit of money to have our child educated by a string of substitute teachers. We were continually told that a replacement teacher would be coming soon. I do not consider 3.5 months of a school year to be "soon". She also enrolls students that the school does not have the resources to accommodate. There were many behavioral issues in my child's classroom last year. Principal states that she will deal with the issue, but they are never resolved and persist. Very disappointed in the quality of education that my child received at NCS.

Principal of the lower school is extremely divisive and does what is in the best interest of herself instead of what is best for the school and its students.

My truthful comment and experience with this school were removed from the website. Make no mistake that this school has issues with how they treat their teachers and students as well as with their administration and their handling of student affairs. The new lower school principal is a dishonest individual as stated by the parent in December 2014. I agree. She lied to me on more than one occasion. In addition, her admin assistant should not be privy to a child's personal information. Our child's info was divulged to another parent before it was discussed with us, the parents. The head of school is more of a politician than someone who can be a child's advocate. Making drastic changes with the teachers was poor decision making by this administration. It is clear that children who do not fit the "mold" of Norfolk Christian are not accepted here. They cannot handle deviation from the norm. I am sad to say that this school is lacking in its Christian values and morals. They are quick to pass judgment. I actually regret the time I placed my children in this school. They would have been better served in a public school where children and teachers are treated fairly.

So much has changed since 2011. The current principal is not an honest person. The goals of the school have changed from a family oriented, caring community to a profit venture. We decided not to attend there anymore when they terminated many excellent teachers just to save money, and hired others at lesser salaries. I can't recommend the school in good conscience because they no longer care for the children as much as they do making money. There are so many better Christian schools that are more like family and encourage community. Spend your money elsewhere for a better education.
