I love this school. It has better education than most public schools. This school has great teachers that actually prepare you for next year. Also, the School has smaller grade numbers. For example the 7th grade has only 16 kids and I'm one of them. This school is great.

Review:

As a parent of this school, I would like to express my satisfaction with the education my children have received over the years. The school utilizes all its resources at the highest level to provide a top-quality education. All three of my children have attended this school, and they have truly loved their experience here. My eldest graduated and, thanks to the dual enrollment program with Nova, was able to complete a year of college while still in high school. Now, they are finishing their second year at Nova and will be graduating early. My other two children continue their education here, and I am very pleased with their academic growth.

Seeing graduates from this school gain admission to prestigious universities is a testament to the quality of education provided. I believe this school nurtures students both academically and personally. I sincerely appreciate the dedication of the administration and teachers for their commitment to excellence!

Tons of bias against people of non Turkish backgrounds. Bullying/bias/discrimination stems from the top and against non Turkish backgrounds. If you are not Turkish you are treated like some second class citizen… DO NOT come if you are not Turkish. Holidays, food, traditions and school events are all centered around Turkish/Muslims and rarely anything else such as black/Hispanic history month. There is never another option for non Turkish/Muslim students/teachers. The expectations that Muslim/Turkish families/community hold at this school, rules the school. Other people of different backgrounds do not have a choice or a say in anything.
Teaching wise, there is a BIG lack of focus on the implementation, strategy, development of the curriculum instead it’s focused on busy work for the employees such as developing plans for absent students or grades. Teachers do not get trained. Teachers have to pay to get training while the school pitches in a dollar or two.
SSubstitute teachers leave students without supervisors and do not speak English. English and language arts are not taught well and students/families can rarely speak it because school does not focus on improving it. They only focus on science and math. They do not care about English or ELA .
Little areas for growth for teachers and not enough adequate resources for students, something is always not working. The school says that they have materials and resources for students to parents but do not follow through when the year begins. They don’t even have a lamination machine that works and sometimes the printer machine is not working. They say they have pull out teachers, but they do not. Or only can work part time.
Most of the time in school is similar to that of baby sitting. They open earlier than most schools in the morning and take forever to be picked up. Office hours are offered by teachers after school but support pull out services should be done during the day with a pull out teacher.
Also no IEP services or special education. Many teachers end up leave every year.

High level of arrogance and bullying is a big issue at this school and nothing is ever done. False accusations as well. It is done at all angles.
The tuition is rising for students next year and they don’t even have a good discount for students whose parents are teachers. Very sketchy .

Pinnacle Academy is everything a private school should be: emphasis on student well-being, caring adults, amazing environment, and enriching academics. I wouldn’t choose any other place for my children to attend.

Excellent School! The teachers, staff, admin team all have left remarkable impressions on me. I am so lucky and glad that my son has started studying in Pinnacle Academy this year. I still remember him keep saying on this long Christmas holiday " I miss my school'. I have observed positive changes on my son like he has developed self confidence in science and math's. The school's character education program, which is called CRLP is fascinating and aiming to develop leaders. I believe Pinnacle Academy deserves to be #1 in America. And I believe it will be very soon. I love my school and the school community.

I met with this school when I moved to NOVA. I have two kids who graduated from Pinnacle Academy. First of all, the teachers are so passionate and dedicated to their craft. My kids had incredible opportunities in fine arts and other extracurricular activities. The school administrators recognize the children by name and have a loving community.
Secondly, the school has a powerful and challenging academic curriculum. I followed my kids improving themselves at finding out and expecting higher from themselves as well. Now, my daughter and my son get accepted to good universities with good scholarships. The school has a dual credit enrollment opportunity with NOVA College for eligible students that help students get acceptance of good colleges.
They loved the school environment and they were happy.
Highly recommend!

The Elementary school teachers are loving, supporting and great overall. Middle and High school teachers are not invested, don't challenge or mentor the students. It's a 9-5 and do the minimum possible.

Non-Turkish students are treated like second class citizens. They have to standup to bullying and discrimination. Consequences are different for Turkish people vs. non-Turkish. Even the makeshift high school counselor charged with having the best interest of her students in mind, withholds information to purposely jeopardize students' academic careers. You can't make this stuff up people.

The teachers (those of Turkish backgrounds) sometimes just don't show up to class! The students are sometimes left in the class period after period with no teacher. In the event the do have a substitute, they rarely speak english.

Ended on a terrible note. What used to be a close knit community with academics as a priority in 2011 is now a school for refugees that don't pay tuition. The board began charging paying families higher tuition to secretly subsidize others. Of course, when the paying families slowly left as academic and social culture declined, the school faced major funding issues. The school is in debt and cannot hire qualified teachers. A complete debacle.

Homework is either IXL or worksheets found online. Students find the answer keys online and do not put in any work. Big joke.

I have 2 kids been this school 2 years ago, then I moved my house little far, I had to take my kids from pinnacle academy to public school. It has been 2 years but still my kids ask me to send them pinnacle academy again. They loved that school a lot, now I heard they moved to a new location which is closer right now, and we decided to send kids back pinnacle academy for next year again.
I definitely recommend pinnacle academy for everyone.

Pinnacle Academy is a fantastic K-12 school. I have 2 kids here. The faculty and staff are truly amazing. This school is great because it has small class sizes and they are STEAM focused. The students are well behaved too.

For many years Pinnacle Academy was a place for students, families, and staff to be members of a community focused on the education of the students in a very positive environment. There were teachers who were role models and worked tirelessly to ensure student success and ensured a positive school environment. Since the almost complete loss of most teachers, it would be presumptuous to think this atmosphere still exists. The focus seems to be on starting too many new things that are done haphazardly instead of taking the time to ensure that ideas are implemented well, and embraced by all the staff. This school had such great potential, but with the current administration, that future could be in jeopardy.

There is no uniform or school-wide consistency for how to assign or grade homework for any grade level. Each teacher decides his or her own policy. There does not seem to be any guidelines set by administration.

Teacher turn around is a problem at this school. While there are a few teachers who are experienced, more tend to be untrained or not very experienced. The 16-17 school year was worse than past years since most of the staff did not return for the 17-18 school year. It is apparent that there is no program to help new teachers make a positive transition or to learn the policies of daily operations.

In general the students are respectful, compassionate, and show integrity, but there were enough students without these qualities to make the conclusion that many staff did not enforce the ideals of a community of caring students. Many students did not follow school rules, especially in the middle school.

The 16-17 school year had many changes and the most detrimental one was the hiring of the new principal. It seemed that there was an agenda to completely get rid of the previous teachers and to start all over. There would be many initiatives for the new, "experimental" high school grades at the expense of the rest of the established preschool and elementary grades. The administration did not seem to have any idea what was going on in any classroom re: untrained and unsupported staff, lack of supplies, teachers being treated differently, etc. Also, traditionally, this was a school that was very community and family oriented but the principal for the 16-17 school year was not present at most events. It also does not seem to be a good business practice to inform the entire staff that it will have to apply, or reapply, for teaching positions, as was done in April, 2017, thereby making job security unlikely if this will become a standard procedure each year.

Many aspects of the daily routine in classrooms have some kind of small grouping for instruction, but most teachers were not able to identify the needs of the very lowest and very highest students. There does not appear to be any real differentiation for lessons/assessments made in the classrooms except for creating the small groups.

My kids have gone to pinnacle academy since 2012. It was a tight knit community those first few years where the teachers and parents communicated regularly and kids were learning because they had structure and a caring environment. Enter 2016 under new administration and things have gone in the worst direction possible. New admin has a focus on testing, not teaching. There seems to be a revolving door for the teachers who either quit mid year or were not given proper support so they were forced to seek employment elsewhere. My 3rd grader has been through 3 teachers to date this school year, the current one has given her 2 weeks as of May. You can imagine how far behind the kids have fallen. When I approached admin, nothing was corrected. It was just as far as telling me suggestions were appreciated on what can be done. My 7th grader has been through 2 homeroom teachers and 3 math teachers, again just this year alone. I have to say this sweet little school is dying a slow death and it is very sad.

This year we are under new administration and things have gone in the worst direction possible. New admin has a focus on testing, not teaching. They don't form a connection with home and school, which was a huge plus with previous admin.

Homework is assigned usually through a program called ixl. It is lazy for the teachers to assign this to everyone and is basically busy work instead of meaningful practice of a concept.

I have three children currently enrolled at Pinnacle. The teachers are very communicative with parents and address any concern at any time. Pinnacle has a lot of parent support as well. The students are smart and happy. Pinnacle has so many great after school programs such as Odyssey of the Mind, Future City, Science Olympiad, FLL Robotics, Math Counts, etc. I highly recommend this school.

Pinnacle Academy is almost like your second home, warm and friendly with no compromise on quality and discipline. The students benefit from small classrooms and concentrated attention from professors, many different afterschool activities provided and much more! My son is eager to go to school almost every morning and is able to join many competitions and activities both in and out of school. It's worth the money considering all that the school has to offer and I cannot imagine a better school for my child.

This is our first year and I have two kids at the school. I am very happy with the academic as well as the social aspect of my child's education. The school is advanced in curriculum and all the staff is always available to help kids and discuss any concern. The teachers know my kids very well and challenge them to work to their potential. They offer lots of after school activities and students are participating in competitions outside of school. My children love going to school every day and they can't imagine going anywhere else.

Pinnacle Academy has caring administrators, teachers, parents, and students that create an amazing school community. I love teaching in a small class environment, because I can get to know each of my students as individual learners to help them grow and reach their full academic potential. I see so much joy and enthusiasm for learning across the school every day. I also appreciate all the exciting events that happen over the school year, including Family Fun Nights, STEM Night, History Bee, Science Fair, Future City competition, National Geographic Bee, First Lego League, Pi Day, fun field trips, and the big variety show. Pinnacle Academy provides a great education for the price. The class sizes are small and the children get individualized attention. There is emphasis on not just education but also social interactions. The school also has a wide variety of clubs and events kids can participate in.

I have 2 children at Pinnacle Academy and I'm so happy and thankful that they're getting the best education for the private tuition. The administration and teachers are amazing, dedicated, and go above and beyond to make sure each and every child is developing their best. My son is in 2nd grade and daughter in 4th grade and both have been here for 2 years. They're thriving and learning so much everyday and love their teachers and small group of classmates. I very much appreciate the small classes and each of my children get a lot of attention...which I think is critical during these early learning years. Another advantage of being a small school, everyone knows each other and frequently, the upperclassmen give the youngers waves, high fives, hugs,...it's comforting to see how close this student body is. The school offers many opportunities in First Lego League, Fairfax County Science Fair, National Spelling Bee/Geography Bees, Future City, Odyssey of The Mind, Science Olympiad, and other STEM related competitions. This school has consistently ranked in the top for all of these competitions every year. It's no wonder with such dedicated faculty and parents.

We have a son enrolled in Kindergarten for the first time this year. For us it has been worth the investment because it is a comfortable environment for him. He spent the first few years at home and so the smaller class size we feel has been a good transition for him. It has also been a good transition for us. It's comforting for us to know the names of all the students in his class and to know his teachers so well. We'll keep him in as long as we can afford it mainly because he loves it so much and that's worth the money.

As Chinese proverb says; "Teachers open the door, but you must enter by yourself". At Pinnacle Academy staff members do whatever it takes to keep the door wide-open and students are eager to enter. A couple of things cross my mind when thinking of Pinnacle Academy; -Small size classes, -Hardworking and respectful students, -Cooperative parents, -Dedicated and caring teachers All bring academic success.

Our daughter is in the 1st grade and has been at Pinnacle for 2 years. There are so many reasons that we really like this school, but mainly, it is the personal attention, small class sizes, emphasis on respect and character education and challenging academics that keep us enrolling her each year. They have very good before and aftercare options for working parents. Also, not as expensive as most of the private schools we looked at in the area!

I am happy to send both of my kids to Pinnacle. I love how the teachers to guide the parents to help their kids. Very friendly staff. I was impressed to get a call to get informed about my kids behavior ( very minor) in the school so that I could talk to them same day when I see them. It is very convenient to be able to send both 6 years and 3 years to same school. It is very helpful to be able to leave kids early and pick up late with their before school and after school program fr a working parent like us. Thank you Pinnacle being there always for us.

Great school. Excellent teachers and staff working together to create a safe and warm learning environment and reaching out to the level of the child. Class ratios are small. I cannot imagaine a better place for my children.

I have 3 kids in this school and I love it. The teachers are great and the curriculum is excellent and atmosphere is friendly. My kids transferred here from another private school, the transition was seamless and they where welcomed with open arms. I am also very pleased with the school's focus on Science and Math. this is my second year and we are definitely staying here until graduation

All my three children are attending this school. My first impression ( after public school) was my kids like to go this school. Wow! . Kids see the school as an extension part of our family . School admin visited our home, all teachers and staff knows the kids by first name. Impressive
