I worked at GMES from 2015-2019, and overall, was incredibly disappointed, particularly under Jennifer Muldowney's leadership. GMES staff displayed open distain for students at lower socioeconomic schools, and I witnessed this at staff meetings. One particular incident was the staff joking about a school doing well testing that, in their jokes, they pointed out don't have the resources to do well. Not only was it a drawn out joke among several of the staff that stopped the meeting so everyone could participate and laugh, but it wasn't addressed for what it was: tactless and devoid of empathy for the students and the staff with so few resources they found so funny. Muldowney operated as if she was in high school, and was wildly disheartening to work for. There are bright spots, such as the Resource Team, and the students are a joy. The attitude and actions displayed by the staff was wholly disappointing, and I hope in 2026 that type of nonsense has come to an abrupt halt and educators don't allow one another to be so childish.

Greenwood Mill is an amazing school! All of the faculty and staff treat you like family and they know all of the kids by name. The teachers do a great job motivating the students and helping them achieve their goals through positive reinforcement. They encourage parental involvement through volunteering and offer many PTO events to get families involved..and you will always see Mrs. Muldowney at the events smiling and welcoming every child and family member. My daughter has loved her experience here!

All 3 of my children attended here and we all had an excellent experience there. The teachers and staff are friendly and will work with you as a parent. If your child has an IEP or needs assistance they will work with you and follow through very well with no hesitation and make sure it is done right. The extra curricular programs are top notch especially the little clubs they have for the older students. In all this is an excellent school for kids to go to...

This school struggles with racism and would benefit from learning that everyone is important and that minority students are talented too.

Greenwood Mill is a great school. Very caring teachers and office staff. Everyone appears to enjoy working there. The kids seem happy also. Large, interactive playground. We've been there for 3 years and our family loves Greenwood Mill Elementary.

I love this school. The office staff is very welcoming and the principal is very involved and caring. The school offers many educational field trips and the teachers seem very concerned about each child's success. Wonderful school. Proud to be a Gator!

Greenwood Mill is an awesome school! The staff is very caring and approaches the education of the students as a team effort. The principal calls every kid by his or her name (how she remembers them all, I don't know). Every member of the staff should be commended for a job well done!

An EXCELLENT school! Very clean. Well funded. Huge / new playground! All books and equipment seem new / top-notch! The student / teacher ratio is comfortable. Integrates modern technology and learning techniques! Each classroom has several computers in additional to a full computer lab. Kids get lunches with an electronic system which helps them learn about electronic debits which we all love. There is a flat screen 40-50" LCD / Plasma on the wall in every classroom which, from what I understand, is how they receive their morning announcements and such. The staff is nothing but courteous and DEF child friendly! The school is really accommodating for fun things like allowing parents to send in snacks for your children's birthdays and they plan really interesting and fun field trips! We Love GMES!!! Go Gators!
