We have been taking our son to Primrose for almost 3 years. As a baby, we took him to another facility and decided to switch after 4 months. The main consideration was the level of care that is offered here and the staff. We love the school, staff, and education! He has learned so much and has a lot of fun here.

I would like to respond to the review that was submitted on 7/27/22. We are sorry that our school did not meet expectations.
We strive to provide a highly educational, nurturing and safe environment for all our students.
Parents are encouraged to call the school at 757-721-2200 to learn more about our curriculum, policies, safety protocols and staff qualifications and training.

This school is a joke. It sounds nice on paper and their website but once a child is actually enrolled there is no promise of them learning properly. I came into my kids classroom one time and they were watching TV a non educational one. The staff members are not professional especially the director when it comes to complications and she states a lot of focus on the principle of things not the schematics of what has happened for something to have occurred. The teachers are NOT trained properly in understanding child development and deffinetly do not support emotional needs or if a child is special needs. The director refuses to share teachers re approach methods so parents can work with child at home and have a same learning and disciplinary across the board. I am heavily disappointed in these changes over the past year and thing shave only gotten worse. It also seems like the director just hires random staff for help rather than those actually qualified. This id now a joke of a school.

We love Primrose! The staff have been amazing with our children. Weve been there just over three years this summer and couldnt imagine our children at any other school. The learning and schedules have been great and our older child likes to play school at home. Highly recommend!

I gave another review here since the school leader replied on March 24th about my review, which I made on March 17th. I would recommend those managing this school take a look at their surveillance camera recorded video and check how their director slammed the door on my face and get this thing escalated. I would recommend them to check how ignorant this director was, and how shocking the stand-by employee was. The director is very unprofessional and treats the customer like trash.

Love Primrose! My two year old has been enrolled since 8 weeks old and has had nothing but a positive experience. I would recommend this school to anyone looking for care in the Redmill area. All teachers and staff have been kind and pleasant, we appreciate how important health and safety have been taken into account.

I don't even want to waste my time writing a comment. My recommendation is to stay away from it, as far as you can. Fancy facility, rude and ignorant people, and bad management.

Not your ordinary child care. Teachers here are well-trained and very caring. My 3 daughters have been here since older infants and they always feel loved. The school owners are the best people Ive ever met. They are very humble and professional. Highly recommended!

Students are allowed to bully fellow classmates with little recourse. Teachers were witnessed several times yelling at children instead of talking them through whatever issue was happening.

I had multiple meetings with the director and owner to discuss what was going on in the preschool room, particularly with my son. All blame was placed on us for my son acting out and the school/owner did not understand why we did not want to keep our 2 year old there even though it was not a good place for our 5 year old. Their "education director" tried to diagnosis my son with a disorder which he does not have and the owner told us that public school would be a better fit for my son because of his speech delay.

My son has an IEP for speech and it was told to us by the owner that public school would be a better fit for him to fit his needs.
Posted: January 9, 2018
Our speech delayed son in preschool was bullied for the way he talks and little was done to correct it.
Posted: January 9, 2018
No homework was sent home from the preschool room or toddler room
Posted: January 9, 2018
The teachers in the preschool room were constantly yelling at the children and did not seem to maintain control. Teachers also changed frequently in this room as did front office staff. In the 3 months my children attended multiple teachers and the entire front office changed over. My son has a speech delay and was being bullied in the classroom for the way he talks and the teachers did little to stop it.

Horrible experience. I would never bring my children back here and feel guilty that it took us 3 months to realize how bad it was. Previously our children had attended a Goddard School in another state and after this experience with this Primrose School we will never enroll our children in another Primrose.

We love this school! My 4 year old son has been there for a year now. He is thriving! His Pre-K teacher is AMAZING!!! She really tries to find what works for each individual child. I would definitely recommend this school.

Stay as far away from this school as you can! Not a safe or secure location for your kids. Teachers are set-up to fail and unable to properly look after the children.

As a former teacher at Primrose I know first hand they do not set up the teachers to fail. I have observed the teachers and they are always interacting with each child. What I loved about teaching at Primrose was the curriculum. It really made me excited to teach the children everyday. I felt Primrose was a very loving environment. The owners and director made me feel appreciated. I can't wait for the day when I can enroll my own child in their preschool program.

We are very pleased with the Primrose School of Virginia Beach. My son has never been in a school before, so this is his ( and our) first experience. He loves his teachers, the daily activities, and his friends in the class. I have seen him grow from a little bit of a shy boy into a more social person. The Director and owners were very receptive to our hesitation about putting him in a school and have worked with us to make him feel comfortable in a classroom setting. The building is clean, the rooms are spacious and they teach the kids some manner too!

I was beyond shocked at how the owners responded to me. From an outward glance they always seemed nice and kind, but I was very wrong about them. I thought meeting with them would help to make things better but I immediately pulled my son from the school as they are horrible people, worse than the director. I know they will try to make excuses for why this post is on the internet and twist the story but anyone is welcome to contact me at any time day or night. There is far more to tell then what I was able to put down in words. I pray that no other parents have to go through what I did.

My child loves attending primrose school. His teacher greats him every morning with a smile and always has an activity ready for him to explore. Today when I picked him up she made a comment about our plans for the evening which I knew my son must have shared with her. This left a warm feeling in my heart knowing not only does she teach him but she also shows interest in all the children do.

Expensive day care with a flashy "curriculum" if u look at the schedule they do the same things 2xs a day and 4 xs a week. The director doesn't know anything about running a "school" and the owners have no idea what there doing ! Do your research on who is in charge before buying in to there fancy curriculum and building
