Our Lady of Hope is a great school with excellent teachers who truly care about the students. The academics are rigorous and there is a lot of homework and tests because hard work is emphasized, and academics are prioritized above all else. It is a small community environment where everybody knows each other's names. There are many fun activities for the students and also opportunities to participate in athletics. The faculty and staff truly do care about each and every student and they make every effort to ensure your child is comfortable but also able to reach their potential. We are extremely pleased with this school and recommend it to anyone who wants their child to excel and achieve.

Sending our child to OLOH was the best decision our family has made. Some of the things that set OLOH apart for my family - a community in which being a good human is emphasized, teachers that treat students with kindness, dignity, and respect, and strong academics. The principal shakes the students hands as they enter the school. When my husband dropped off cupcakes for our childs birthday, teenagers said thank you without having to be told. My five year old talked to me and my spouse for close to an hour about MLK after a lesson in class. OLOH is a unique community and has been a blessing to our family.

Our family moved from overseas, and from the moment we arrived at Our Lady of Hope, we felt embraced and included. The school community welcomed us with such warmth and care, making our transition incredibly smooth. Our children were immediately immersed into a nurturing environment where they felt safe, calm, and truly seen.

One of the aspects we love most is the strong Catholic foundation at the heart of everything the school does. Faith is not just taughtits lived and reflected in the values, attitudes, and everyday life at Our Lady of Hope. It brings us so much comfort knowing our children are growing both academically and spiritually in such a loving environment.

The staff are exceptionalsupportive, responsive, and attentive. Whether its a question or a concern, the school handles every enquiry with care and efficiency. They genuinely prioritise each childs wellbeing and learning needs.

Educationally, our children have flourished. They are engaged and enthusiastic about their learning, and they speak so positively about their experiences in the classroom.

We are truly grateful to be part of the Our Lady of Hope community. Its a place where our family feels deeply valued and supported.

My child is on the basketball team and they won the championship, but they never got a trophy to put in the trophy case and never got there name on the banner. The school is kind of lazy on what they do. They do have some fun events, But last year my child had 2 PE class but now my kid has one because they said they needed more time for "learning" (which he says is hard to do in some classes) The school took away individuals awards so they could focus more on "learning." However the Catholic faith is well represented throughout the school. The PE in the upper grades are being treated like lower grades, some examples of what the do: dancing, juggling with paper, sitting on the floor for 10 minutes, not doing anything really sports related.

The teachers have favorites. My child has written at least 5 essays in RELIGION CLASS??? I thought you do that in literature/writing. My child complains about the PE "curriculum." Apparently the students are required to dance, play kickball, and jump rope. Just let the kids do what they want and that way they will get the right amount of physical activity for themselves. My child has been taking Latin since 1st grade, but the Latin teacher is getting married and leaving to get a new job so they hired a Spanish teacher instead. Now my child has to transition to a new language. By the way there are no more male teachers at our school once the Latin teacher leaves. This school doesn't change the amount of work even if your child is very behind mentally.

We absolutely love our OLOH (Our Lady of Hope) school and community. We picked this school specifically for it's smaller size (one class per grade). It feels like a true family and the attention given to students is phenomenal. The rigorous academics was our main goal and our son is getting an amazing education. On top of that there are several extracurricular activities offered that allow my son more involvement and connection within the school community. He's taken part in the school talent show, Chess club, Art club, basketball, track and field. All these things are wonderful, but what makes OLOH truly special are the teachers. They are completely invested in teaching students while keeping an emphasis on our Catholic identify. The teachers care so so much, and we love them dearly.

Staff and teachers are incredible. Because of its size, the teachers know the kids through their K-8 years and help support them even when they no longer have them in their classroom as students. Many of the staff have been there a long time and are highly qualified. Students are encouraged to engage in leadership opportunities. Lots of extracurriculars to match a variety of interests and you could not ask for a more beautiful campus setting. Can not say enough good things!

Our Lady of Hope Catholic School is the ONLY place we feel called to be and WANT our three boys to be. The teachers, staff, and parish office have created an environment where our children can thrive with the Holy Spirit, rigorous academics, and a healthy balance of community internal and external to the school.

We have been through significant medical situations with our children and the school and community have been walking with us on a journey of healing.

It's hard to find a better environment for your children to thrive in academically, socially and spiritually than OLOH. They academics are top-notch: they are a blue ribbon school that offer rigorous academics that challenge the students with opportunities to learn Latin, participate in yearly science fairs, play a range of sports and musical instruments and sing in the choir, and to participate in Shakespearian plays just to name a few. The teachers are not just incredibly talented and dedicated, but they personally invest in the success of their students like few others. Ours have done everything from improving their academic MAP scores by over 30% to giving our kids with pep talks before dental surgeries and continuing to look after their students after they move on from their classrooms. The projects they give our kids last a lifetime from memories of shooting off canons at Colonial Days to building plastic Lenten Eggs that my kids still love to show off. Lastly, OLOH is a special place because, as one of the teachers said, "it's a community, not just a school." The families go out of their way to help one another with everything from setting up a parent-run neighborhood watch program to protect OLOH staff and kids during events to supporting one another with getting kids schoolwork and events throughout the year. I can't be more grateful that our family gets to be a part of such a caring community.

For the past 8 years, OLOH hasnt only been our kids school, its been our extended family. The teachers and staff are very caring and supportive and its small size lends itself to creating special bonds between students and families. Most importantly, it weaves the tenets of the Catholic faith throughout the curriculum and daily activities in a genuine effort to form faithful, compassionate, well-rounded and virtuous members of society. I love the schools continuous drive to improve and its receptivity to feedback/input. OLOH is an incredible blessing for our family.

We love the OLOH school community. The curriculum isn't perfect, but it's impossible to accomplish a one-sized-fits-all curriculum that engages all students -- unless you homeschool. What truly stands out at OLOH, though, is the social and emotional support, as well as their zero tolerance for bullying. Not only do they swiftly address name-calling and putdowns, and any unwanted physical contact, it's done in way that gets to the root of the issue and those involved seem to learn and grow from the experience. We are so impressed and also with the work the staff puts into developing students' skills of being empathetic, critical thinkers. And their approach to student safety in the school is top notch.

terrible I called it Our lady of No Hope .My son needed extra help when he was just a KG and i had to pay 80$ an hr for an English tutor who is also an English teacher at school and the principle was not supportive in working with us. I was excited to get my kids to get them ready spirituality with the religious education that they offer and being a blue ribbon school. Thank God we left and now my son is doing great he just needed that small push that Our Lady of Hope did not provide.

Homework is balanced, i.e., not too much and not too little is given. About an hour a day, which I feel is just right for grades 4 and above.

Some of the teachers do not have a great disposition with the kids, especially in 1st grade. When kids are that young, you shouldn't have teachers screaming at them. However, if you kid can get through that unscathed, they can get through anything.

Leadership does not want to do anything about the teachers who are ineffective, especially if they have been there a long time. Teachers who are new and try to change the set norms for the better are swiftly kicked out. Sad.

Overall, not a great experience but I still have kids in this school, who I plan on keeping until middle school. The reasons for these are a) religious education, and b) proximity to home. First and foremost, I want my children to get a Catholic education to build a strong foundation. Secondly, I am not near another private Catholic school that I could put my kids in and I'm hesitant to put them in public school at a young age. The school lacks diversity and hence, there may be some racial bias to non-White students, whether this is inadvertent. However, I don't need my kids to be teacher's pets, I only need them to be respected and taught the curriculum. On the plus side, this is a blue ribbon school, so academics are on par with the public school. I also am of the old-school mentality that what doesn't break you, will make you. So, some adversity for my children is good, as I can't fix everything for them in life. As long as my kids aren't being abused or bullied by teachers and students alike, I'll ensure they excel at the school until I can feel comfortable putting them in a public school. As you can see, I have low expectations from OLOH, but if you go in with your eyes open, you can get some positive experiences out of it (i.e., religious education, Blue Ribbon academic education).

When I discovered Our Lady of Hope School for my kids, I was excited because it's a place where the curriculum is rigorous (rated in the top 15% nationwide of public or private schools), the community is small and family-friendly, and most of all the school is deeply committed to authentic Catholic teaching. If you are coming from a homeschooling background or are dissatisfied with the public school system, or another Catholic school, it's a wonderful learning environment where you can entrust your child to their teachers while still partnering in your child's education.

Our Lady of Hope..Lack of many things: some teachers do not have the experience to teach certain subjects. Upper Class teachers never seem to stay long.
In the school statement about "nurturing environment" that's a joke! they scream and yell at students for the littlest things. that's not nurturing! it's a nightmare for students. The principal is ineffective! Doesn't want to listen to parents.
Classroom size is a JOKE!! They have 29+ students in lots of the classes. but I guess when it comes to $$$. they cant turn their backs on "family". What a JOKE. We go to private school for the "small" size. This school is all about money not education! SAD!!

Bad teachers, bullying, and limited resources are problems at this school. Some teachers and principal lack patience and don't communicate regularly with the parents. Almost no resources outside of basic instruction. Lack of activities. Waste of money, if you ask me!
