This school is really great and would recommend it. The teachers are very supportive and fun, I had a lot of fun in my years and hope people join and experience it too.

LCE is a wonderful school with a great AAP program. The teachers there are the best. They really care about the kids. They have a very involved PTA and a great community feel. I love the diversity of the student body.

I Can't say enough great things about Lees corner, but I can assure all parents that after moving from another public school and previous private schools, this school has been a blessing for my kids and my whole family.

We enjoyed our first year at Lee’s corner because the teachers were invoked and effective. Our second year was a disaster, so much so that we had to move our child out of the school. The first grade teacher was combative and segregated the “disruptive” students to a corner of the class for the entire year. This was unacceptable. She gave up on students who needed extra help completely. We had a meeting with her where she showed up late and had an attitude the entire meeting. She went as far as telling our daughter she didn’t need to tell us everything that happened in school. To say this teacher was a nightmare was an understatement.

Interesting to see so many complain about 3rd grade. My child struggled more in 2nd (truly a transition period) but in third grade, her teacher figured out her struggle with testing and helped her work through it. Yes 3rd grade was more about research and presentation and becoming comfortable to speak in front of the class. Writing skills were much more developed in 4th grade. I can't imagine my before 3rd grade truly understanding the complexity of English grammar (English was my third language, and most rules don't make sense)

Half way through 4th grade, her writing skills significance improved.

It's a good balance. Not too little but not so much that they cannot enjoy being a child

Been in this district for years. Amazing and supportive community, great teachers and staff!!!

My both kids went to this school. Overall it was nice experience, but this year has been such a struggle. My son's level went from 7 to 2. In third grade, all they do is presentations and research when they don't even know how to frame sentences properly. No emphasis on writing at all. I called, send emails for parent teacher meeting, but never got any reply whatsoever. Teacher is rude and arrogant. AND no one says anything as everyone wants to watch out for their kids, no one wants them to retaliate it against the kid. I am totally dis-appointed. Not sure if PRINCIPAL ever checks what teachers are doing. ONLY outer show. I am not just stating this based on my kids performance. Every kid in the class, except for one or two going to KUMON etc, are struggling. I see their answers to this long questions and presentations that definitely makes no sense to them and each one of them is struggling. I AM DIS-APPOINTED COMPLETELY. If you can afford it take your student to private school after 2nd grade, please do that. Anyone who is tempted to report my review, please send me your email id. I will forward you endless requests and awful kids work from the class. Its on Google classroom, open for anyone to see. NO impeach to anyone's privacy.

I love the PRINCIPAL. He is one awesome guy. I wish there was easy way where parent could talk to him, without getting scared that if they do talk there kid may suffer the wrath of the teacher in the class.

Posted: April 25, 2017

YA MAY be student just go to school for learning compassion, integrity and respect.
SINCE STUDY IS NOT THE PRIME FOCUS ANYWAYS

Posted: April 25, 2017

Despite of my continuous requests for parent teacher meeting, I NEVER got a reply. NEITHER yes not NO. Some teachers are great, but couple are horrible and you never know if your kid will be stuck with one of those. AND they don't wanna change as they think, they are right. (FIXED MINDSET) Despite of KIDS(the whole class) declining performances, they assume, they are doing it all right.

My kid is in third grade. His teacher gets mad even if we try to help him once on any of his assignments. WHY we try to help because if you read answers of the class, you will say these are kids from Kindergarten. SO SHE won't do anything about it and we are not allowed to. My kid is even scared to open his google classroom at home. RATHER terrified to do so. PAPER homework is long gone. Only time they write on paper is in school. I wish I could post samples here, not just from my kid, but other kids also. I guess my kid did better in 1st grade than in 3rd.

This is a great school with a wonderful caring staff. The PTA is amazing and has many activities for families to participate in throughout the year. We are very happy with our children here.

Everyone who works at Lees Corner wants to see students succeed, feel safe and supported, and enjoy school. Mr. D'Amato is responsive, teachers are patient and strong in instruction, and the front office staff goes above and beyond. The many times I have come in to volunteer or drop off/pick up my child, I am welcomed and helped immediately. The school would not run as well without that team in the office.

I have two kids in this school. They both love it! My son who is shy has flourished here in kindergarten! Mrs. Shin and Baetcke are amazing! My daughter thrived in 1st grade! She was ahead for her age and Mrs. Mendis worked extra hard with her to make sure she stayed ahead. She gave her next grade homework and reading assignments. All the teachers are very responsive. The principal is very approachable. Each year the kids are involved in some kind of performance which I think is amazing. Three Piggie Opera, the Hats show and independence day concert are a few examples. Many activities that keep the community involved like hallowingo. In short, we've had great three years at this school and looking forward to next couple of years here.

My 5th grader rarely has more than a few problems of math or a YouTube video to watch for homework. 2nd grader has only a few math sheets a week.

We are new to Lees Corner this year. The teachers, so far, have been wonderful. The front office staff are very off-hand and rude every single time I have come in contact with them. Also find it interesting that there is no option to volunteer in either child's classrooms.

My daughter started Kindergarten last year and has had a great experience so far. She loves the teachers and the staff.

My child attended Lees Corner from 2007 to 2013, and had a wonderful experience. Students have multiple teachers in 5th and 6th grades, as the specialize in subject matter those years. With one exception, all of her teachers were outstanding and understanding. The office staff was very helpful, and the PTA members whom I encountered were always ready to listen and assist. No one and no school is perfect, but I highly recommend LCES. Since Mr. D'Amato's arrival a few years ago, he has added so much to the school from the standpoint of instructional program upgrades and physical facility improvements. This school is a proponent of Respect, Collaboration, Excellence!
