My child has been here since Kindergarten and is now heading into his final year. Weve had a couple rocky years the first (Kindergarten) was absolutely on me as an older parent of a young child, I expected school to be like it was when I was in it in the early 1980s. They rose to the occasion and proved my preconceived notions wrong. Another year a teacher and I just didnt see eye to eye - but I I think shes a great teacher and wonderful human being. Sometimes people just have a hard time working together. All of the support staff and others in the school have always been wonderful. My son has some special needs and they have always been there to help and support those needs. I love that they have tried various alternative methods to determine what works best for him and his learning experience. He has greatly improved since weve found that sweet spot so to speak. I cannot be more happy with ALL of the front office staff, the janitors, the cafeteria staff, the school nurse, the school resource officer, the Principal Mrs Banks and the counselors and his of course the many teachers. Last year in fourth grade his teachers were by far some of the best communicators. They told me about both good and bad behavior as such I was able to do what needed to be done at home to either hold him to account or praise good choices and good grades. This is his last year and we will be very sad to move on from such a wonderful team. I highly recommend this school and the more you can be involved (if possible with time and ability) the better. Im not a person that can be places to volunteer every week but I do when I can. As such Ive gotten to know many people here and now consider many of them personal friends! Ive found that when people are unhappy, its usually because THEY arent keeping an open mind -or- they are not wanting to hold their kids to account! If theyd read their own reviews over again they may just see it themselves!

There was no effort on their end to listen to the parents perspective or their alternative solutions. It was their way only and it had to be rushed. I felt there was no time (not even a week) to process the situation or what was best for the child.

Challenging curriculum and caring staff. Our children are engaged. Office staff is very helpful. Parents are very involved.

Kindergarten students should not have 45 minutes of homework every week night, and hours of projects and homework over the weekend.

They choose favorites, and target students whose parents push back. They do not model integrity or fairness in the way they punish students.

Antiquated method of relying on punishment for Kindergarten students who are just learning self regulation. Lie to parents in order to protect themselves from accounting for their mistakes. Despite losing my child on the school bus unwilling to locate him because it was after 4pm...
