Moorefield Station Elementary is a great school with a warm, welcoming environment. Principal Williams has really grown into her leadership role over the past few years and assembled a strong administrative team. They make an effort to be seen on rolling desks in hallways and classrooms as often as possible, speaking to children by name. Although there are quite a few new teachers, now that COVID is long gone and the transfers after the prior principal retired are over, the staff seem to be very content. The PTO has increased community involvement, especially in the past school year. There are academic and social programs offered and parents, as well as teachers, attend special programs (Bingo, Math Night, Musicals). The school now has great monthly Shark-of-the-Month assemblies which build community and celebrate student achievement. Overall, Moorefield Station is a wonderful place for young learners to thrive!

This is an overall great school, and we are pleased to send our children here. The principal and staff are committed to the students and we feel welcomed as parents. I really cant say enough positive things about our experience!

This school is getting worse over the years, especially with the new principal Williams. She doesnt engaged with students and speaks to students, parents and staff in an unprofessional and rude manner. She is dismissive and doesnt put in any effort as principal. Its no surprise that the assistant principal and Dean both left within the first year she became principal. Steer clear of this school, principal Williams puts in the minimal effort and creates a toxic with environment for staff, I wouldnt be surprise to see more teachers leaving.

This school is just too large for a Principal and a single Vice Principal. It seems to me that our public schools have suffered greatly at the hands of politicians and an ever-growing bureaucracy which has become so top-heavy and resource greedy that our children are getting lost in the process, along with those most directly responsible for preparing them for productive and happy futures.

My children will, in my honest opinion, be far better off in thier future lives for having attended Moorefield Station Elementary. It is not without it's faults, but it seems to be ever striving to improve. I will forever be grateful to the teachers and staff there for their selfless dedication to my children.

This is a difficult one. As with any school, there are exceptional teachers and not-so-great teachers. It is the rare teacher that starts out excellent - though it does happen, and Moorefield Station seems to have an exceptionally high number of these naturally excellent teachers. We were lucky enough to have such for both Kindergarten and 1st Grade, by which time my first child was so well prepared - both educationally and (more importantly, I believe,) socially/emotionally, that a less experienced 2nd grade teacher was perfectly sufficient for his needs, and he has continued to thrive in subsequent years, with wonderful teachers overall. Of course I did request - and get - the same Kindergarten teacher for or next child when the time came!

Bad. 1 out of 10 stars. We moved from MD to be in a good school district. But looks like we made a ba choice atleast where the elementary school is concerned.

My son went to this school since it opened in 2013. He has been very unlucky with the teachers mostly. Only one year(4th Grade) did he have a nice teacher. All the other years the teachers were so rude and not at all willing to help.I read on this site that school makes or breaks a kid. It definitely broke mine. Not a good experience at all.

Leadership is mostly Missing in action. They need to be more involved.

No, the school/teachers does not support students with learning differences. Some teachers don't work hard and lack the passion to teach young kids. They needs students all smart when they get it to the class and cannot teach well. These kind of teachers need to moved to middle school

Some of the teachers are very good and some just cannot teach. They lack the ability to teach to all kinds of students

The school can make / break students life .Moorefield is a great school . They look for whats work best for the kids and work on it .My kids feels that its their home away from home. The principal is amazing , Teachers are really great , my son's 3rd grade teacher is a great example not only because he does his job very well, but because he make sure that each student is learning to the best of his or her ability in a fun and very healthy class room environment. My daughter's kindergarten teacher is wonderful , she takes it step by step with her and gave her confidence .My daughter absolutely loves the school because of her. I hope they will keep this spirt for ever.

This is my first year in loudon county and so far it has been great. My children have great teachers, who are energetic and caring about the children. There is an active PTO. No playground.....only drawback.

My kids went to a different school for kindergarten. They attended 1st grade here last year and really loved their teachers. This year they got nice teachers again and enjoy going to school very much. I have to say we have an awesome principal, a lot of great teachers and happy kids. My only complaint is that we don't have a playground but overall, we love this school.

Both kindergarten teachers of my kid were amazing. Mrs. Ater, who was the most attentive teacher. I was amazed at how much attention she gave to my son but then I was even more amazed when I discovered that she had been doing the same for other students as well. All the parents I talk to only have good things to say about this school. I've never heard of any bullying issues, and the kids are academically challenged. My son enjoy going to school each day because they like their classmates and their teachers.
