Fantastic teachers, admin, staff, students and coaches. My 2 children have had amazing experiences at Rock Ridge, namely academics, college preparation, sports and DECA but drama, music and many other clubs are top notch, too! Very thankful for RRHS!

You'll get a great education...but there may not be enough students interested in playing sport, to put together a team, if that's something of interest to you. For instance...no boys JV lacrosse team this year and probably not enough boys for a football team or Varsity lacrosse team for 2019-2020.

Not a lot of school spirit which encourages pride, identity and community, when then improves morale and academic performance because students and staff are happier and are therefore more motivated to succeed.

Great school, don't agree with the overall 6 and think it's unfair to school that they have 100% responsibility for skewed test scores.

I respect both the teachers and the specialists at this school. Also, the administration and office staff are top - notch. The office works like a well-oiled machine. The counselors and guidance secretaries are great, and so helpful. They really care about the students.

Kids in this school are mean and rude. Thinking mommy's and daddy's money will help them in life. Kids and teachers are stuck up and rude and very immature. Very sad in the academics as well. I would think an Ashburn high school in the richest county in america would be a little stronger with everything overall....also what is the sports teams here like come on.

In the beginning of the year this school started okay. But then, as time went on it got worse and worse.
Most students were obnoxious and unwilling to learn or cooperate with teachers rules. Teachers were rude and weren't creative with lesson plans. Some of my teachers would walk out of class, to only return 15 minutes till the end of class. Teachers were just terrible at teaching, not giving enough information to pass exams, etc. In Pre-AP World, my teacher would only give me worksheets and I would have to teach myself practically everything. Sports were not all that great, so if your a sports person..not the school for you. If you wanted to make a club, the teacher who created clubs and the principal would not respond to you. The students again were very incompetent and did not have a lot of common sense. Fairfax County was so much better than this. Fairfax County has more learning opportunities than Loudon. I usually have never had a problem with this but , some hallways smell like curry or sweat. As if some people have not discovered deodorant or perfume. Overall, this is not the school that has lived up to expectations.

The amount of homework I receive is fairly equivalent to the type of class I'm in.

This school is top of the class in LCPS. The Fine Arts program rocks and is top notch, academics are top notch, I only have positive things to say! In a short amount of time it has established itself as the top programs for band and drama in the county and quite honestly the state, IGEM and other clubs have excelled, the Track team is EXCELLENT and the wrestling team is awesome. All the sports programs moved forward in big ways this year and it looks like both soccer and lacrosse teams will be moving even further in big ways soon! this is a great place for academics and sports. The school is tough and they don't let kids mess around which is good for them! Rigor and expectation goes a long way!

Don't listen....Don't care....They disappoint me everyday.. there was a teacher who left the classroom for half the class...teachers are very disorganized.
