BAD SCHOOL. The teachers here are very strict especially the PE teachers. They make you run pacers everyday but only for 7th graders. I have experienced many kids crying and skipping because of this. The Teacher who makes us do this has been kicked out for a day or two from some inappropriate actions and it seems to some kids now that he is doing that again. I highly recommend a better school that is equal and fair to there students.

Brambleton Middle School is a story of own. Now it is a pretty small school, that has to manage more students than its capable of, therefore I will give them that. But my overall experience can leave me in tears.
First of all, some of the teachers are way under qualified. I wont call any names, but a few teachers dont even teach the material properly, and expect us to excel with our academic career. Some teachers even get into subtle arguments with students. I was attending a class where a teacher decided to lock the door after a student left the room, claiming the student is at fault for using the restroom, without an electronic pass. I get that its a rule, but boundaries have to be set.
Next, the school tries its best to prevent bullying, but most of the time its the victim to take all the blame. Usually because in most bullying scenarios within the school, the bully has a team of friends, who can support the bully. Loudoun county has equipped you high end security systems, so why isnt child safety taken for granted?
Third of all, the resource teachers hired to inactively supervise us for an hour and a half, are the most one-sided people Ive ever met. They dont cooperate with students whatsoever. You get sent to the Dean if youre standing when not supposed to. My experience with the resource teachers have been the worst yet.
The school isnt technically inclined in any way whatsoever. When they make it so the internet prevents students from playing online games, students can just use personal data. When recordings or photographs of a student without their consent have been taken, they are meant to be deleted. However they act like they dont know that students can send them to other students before the initial deletion. The school must improve tech-wise.
Now with medical support and tech-repair support, it goes by fast, so I wont make it a huge factor. But the nurse and tech people have met the staff expectations, which Im relieved to say is the best part about the school, even though its less than 5 people.
The counselors and administration (excluding the deans) have also met the basic requirements to satisfy student needs.
If you are a parent or guardian who is thinking of sending your child(ren) to Brambleton middle school, Id think twice.
My biggest concern about the school is bullying, I for one, have been a victim. And its not fun to have been harmed, and yet youre the one being in trouble for not telling a teacher.

Weve had an overall great experience at BAM. The teachers have been very knowledgeable and caring. Middle school is a hard transition time anywhere you go, but its been a positive experience here.

There is no follow through by the admin. The students dont care because there are no repercussions for bad behavior. Our child was not safe in that environment and I would not recommend any parent feel comfortable that their child is being supervised let alone taught while attending.

Beautiful new building, however the overall parent pickup system via the front driveway was poorly designed and chaotic. The front desk administration and teachers were unqualified, unfriendly, and lazy. The famous motto for this particular school among parents is "teachers first, children last". No one cared about the interests of our two children attending school there. It needs a thorough staff cleanup from the bottom up.

I used to go here and I honestly didn't like it too much.
Some people were horrible to me there, and if I told the counselors about it, they would pretend to care but do nothing about it.
Half of the teachers I had there were kind and helpful, but the other half was the complete opposite.
The building is really cool though and the art teachers there are the chillest people on Earth (especially Mrs. Theile!!!)

Brambleton Middle School is a stunning facility. It's administration, however, is utterly lackluster. Communication should be the hallmark of any good administration. The best way to get this principal to respond to your email is to cc her direct supervisor in the LCPS administration building. The same goes for the deans. My student's dean takes over a week to respond to emails, and that is if he answer at all. At the end of the day, it is about appearance at Brambleton Middle School. It all looks great on the outside, but when you dig a bit deeper, there are many issues.

I have a child that attends and have been a substitute teacher at Brambleton and while middle school is a rough go for just about everyone, the staff, faculty, and administration work together for the good of the student body and community. This really is a neighborhood school!
