If I could give it 0 stars I would. Students are rude and constantly use slurs and slang for no reason at all. The teachers cannot control the students and they are often wild and very loud. A school counselor once said to me (5 minutes after I met her) after I told her I was having mental health issues she said "Your not depressed, because depression is for people who don't have homes or food, and their lives are bad and you have nothing to be depressed about." She told me this the day she meet me without know anything about me too. The school was built for about 700 students however they seem to think its ok you cram almost 2000 students in a building. This year they have decided not to give the 7th and 8th grade lockers and only give them to 6th graders even though 7th and 8th grade has to carry more stuff. Unless you want your child's middle school experience to be traumatic and hurtful I suggest sending your child to another school.

My son is in honors classes at Willard and the teachers have shown that they really care about the progression of the students. His teachers have an open door policy which allows me to discuss my concerns about his grades, and we have developed plans on how to move forward. I love this because they don't have to do this. The principal sends a weekly update with the assignments and lessons for each cluster. This keeps me informed because my son doesn't always let me know. Thank you Willard!
