Independence High School is an amazing school with an outstanding principal who truly cares about the students. When we first met him, he said that his number one goal is to have happy students. He said that if the kids are happy, then they will want to be there and be successful. Our 2 children loved their time at Indy and they were successful. Learning was fun with teachers who really care about students. Happiness is Indy’s motto and we are forever grateful for the opportunities that were given to our children.

I am a parent and volunteer at Independence HS. The administration, teachers and school community are welcoming, school-spirited and are truly engaged to make the best learning environment for all students. Support for all aspects of student life and involvement is available whether it is sports, fine arts, activities or clubs. Highly recommend the community and school.

There's a reason why multiple teachers have quit this school, and it's not the pandemic. Upper administration is more concerned about impressing the "cool" kids than supporting teachers and students that are not in the "cool" group. It's really pathetic to see grown adults trying to recreate their high school years instead of focusing on doing what is best for everyone. Considering how many teachers have left in the last month, don't go here unless you want your education to depend on substitutes.

There are some really great teachers here, I just don't think they will last long at the current rate of resignations.
