Blue Ridge Middle School is an exceptional school. Its administrators and staff demonstrate genuine care for students, develop programs thoughtfully, and engage families in meaningful ways. Throughout our experience, I felt respected, welcomed, and known. My child thrived academically and personally and had an outstanding middle school experience. I would readily recommend BRMS to other families.

My only hesitation is that BRMS feeds into Loudoun Valley High School. Our experience at LVHS has been significantly different. The school appears to lack the visible, relationship-centered leadership needed to build a strong and connected culture. There is limited engagement with students and families, and decisions can seem disconnected from students’ emotional development, sense of belonging, and overall school experience. Most families are just surviving to move on, not thriving - the entire town know nothing will change or happen if we complain, except we will once again lose good teachers and be stuck with teachers that spend 30 minutes of class time on their own pronouns and what they preferred to be called... 30 minutes. Maybe this is the real reason they can't have recording devices or phones in class.

This concern would not stop me from sending my children to BRMS because the middle school experience is too valuable to pass up. However, it is difficult knowing that students may move from such a supportive environment into a high school community that does not currently offer the same level of connection and care. I remain hopeful that future leadership will recognize the school’s potential, rebuild trust, strengthen its culture, and give Western Loudoun students and families the attention they deserve. The elementary schools and middles school are all outstanding - it's a shame that Valley is the final round and so far below the standard of the other schools.

The teachers are amazing, especially the English teachers. The only reason why I did not give five stars is because all my children were bullied, and there were no consequences. One particular PE teacher bullied my child and told her friends not to hang out with her because she was "trouble" and she would never amount to anything, No consequences for that teacher either. Friendly staff, overall a good school.

The teachers are so kind and care about the students and their education. The teacher are not too laid back, they have discipline where it's needed but they aren't too strict. I am in 8th grade and these have been the best 3 school years of my life. There extracurricular activities and opportunities for students hard work to be recognized. The principal Mr. Bell is so kind and works on improving the school and making students comfortable and happy in the school environment.

Blue Ridge is awesome! The teachers are focused on the best interest of the students and love to teach. My classmates are very nice, friendly and are willing to help whenever. The principal, Mr. Bell, helps keep the school a fun place to learn by implementing strategies to help students stay on task. Other staff members like the counselors are empathetic and encouraging. Most teachers and staff know the names of all students just because they want to get to know them better, even if they're not in their class. Blue Ridge is a great place to be and I would recommend any middle-schooler moving to Purcellville attend my school.

We've had two of our three children attend, one of which has special needs. They were responsive to that child's diverse and demanding requirements, creative in designing the best environment and embracing the families, students and adaptive to the pressures of changing times. The admin is engaged and works well with parents and students, keeping a pulse on the community (which is quite small and tight knit) while utilizing the resources the big budget and trappings that Loudoun assets has to offer well. I look forward to sending our third child there soon

They have many pbis lessons that develop students' understand. Each students voice is heard. Kids earn character awards too.

We moved from FAIRFAX from a school where there was no community feel. So far at BRMS we've attended Cornerstones, a PTO event, bingo, and feel great when ever we are in the building. Last week we attended Genius hour, who knew. Love it.

I am so happy with my sons experience with Blue Ridge. Yes the school lacks windows, and that is unfortunate. But it's the people inside that matter most. The principle has strong and inspiring leadership skills. The admin. staff are helpful and friendly. My son has had several teachers that he adores this year. There is positive peer pressure there to excell and make good choices.

This is a very good school with excellent teachers. Everyone is attentive to students needs and students have many opportunities to become involved in different activities. Overall, Blue Ridge is an amazing learning environment.

Blue Ridge Middile School is a wonderful facilty, yet the teachers are STRANGLING! I'm not talking about giving too much homework, but there is a rule agianst everything you do! I am an 8th grade girl that cannot wait to get out of this school! Yeah sure the teachers teach well, and there is only a few i have a problem with, but the rest are good at their job, but i feel like the power gets to them. The gym floors are always filthy, and there are no windows; studies show students learn better in a sun-lit environment and even an extended time outside. Not impressed. Also we have various assemblies on bulling but in an event when it occours, nothing is done. It seems like each year it got worse for me, and everyone else. Can't wait for Loudoun Valley!!! GO VIKES!

Great. I love this school. When my son started here he had only been going to an American school for one year. We had lived overseas and he was really nervous about the whole Middle School thing especially from stuff he had seen on TV. He really likes the teachers and the support he gets.

First of all, dear student, you need to catch up on your grammar. A grammar teacher can only take you so far; the rest is up to your dedication and the efforts of and environment provided by your guadians. If your language as a middle school student is what I see it to be, I would look elsewhere to put the blame, not the teachers. Best place to start is yourself.

My son is in his first year at Blue Ridge and we are very happy with his experience. He is flourishing academically and socially. He is in one honor's class, which happens to be his favorite class. Blue Ridge has clubs and other things that students can get involved with (e.g. strings) and these I highly recommend because they expand the mind and promote friendships that otherwise would not have occurred. My son was picked on a little at Emerick Elementary but now has a click of about 10 friends. My son says that the teachers are in the hallways and near the lockers in between classes. This is a must for middle school and Blue Ridge is playing it by the book. The principal is also very visible. I see him almost every day standing outside with the riders. He actually talks with the students and they respect him as is evident in their body language and facial expressions. My wife and I feel like we really hit the jackpot with this school.

I'm an eighth grader at Blue Ridge. The semester is half done and I dont want to leave! I first came here, the new kid from Fairfax county, in 6th grade. Everyone was so welcoming. The teachers here are awesome; whether it was helping me get some of my work published in a magazine or preparing me for my future, they've been there in so many ways. I can't imagine a better middle school than Blue Ridge.
