Staff only supports their own personal needs. While not adequately using tax payer money. Staff and students alike will both be alienated from there board of direction with little to no support or resources to get them back on track. You can only help yourself at that school with a shockingly low sense of acceptance in the community.

There are no real solid boundaries or follow through on certain behaviors. There is a lot of bullying going on currently, that is either completely unaddressed by the school or there is a general response where both the bully and the victim get repercussions.

There is no support for students who fall between the cracks. They have a general and basic learning environment and do not support learning needs of children who do not fall into a specific category that THEY deem "special needs", even if they have carried an IEP from another school district.

As I mentioned before, there is no real sold set of rules on these types of things.

There is no communication set between parent and teacher and no follow up. They have the ability to use programs like "Remind" and "Skyward " but are not required to. There is no set policy on how soon a parent is allowed to know if their child is slipping behind on homework because many teachers don't want to do the work required in letting the parents know until it is too late.

Though some of the teachers do their part, many don't. They do the minimum that is required and nothing more and that is only with constant pushing from a parent or guardian, on an individual level.

Poor. Many of their staff just don't see fit to accommodate their students differences in learning. Lack of communication and lack of drive and interest, at best.

Parents, please do your children a favor & never send your kids to North Mason School District. The teachers for the most part treat the children horribly, saying mean things to them, even throwing away their homework and counting it as zero if they don't like your child. If your child has a special need forget about ADA rights this district feels that they do not have to comply with Federal laws, yet accepts federal funding. NMHS is known for "handing out" diplomas to failing disciplinary children just to get them out of their school. This is by far the worst District I have ever encountered in my life! Superintendent Peterson backs his staff, so really the community needs to come together for their children and demand a better education, fair treatment for all children and fair education all children are entitled to.
