High instance of teacher's bullying students. Most occurs in lower grades and special education classes. Demeaning comments to students. Reports to administration go unanswered. Really needs an investigation from Washington OSPI.

genuinely a horrible school, alumni here since 2012, staff truly DO NOT care about their students, tried to report a bullying and was met with passive aggressiveness, even as a student here as a young kid my experience here was terrible, some specific staff members i wont name who still work there need to fix their attitude and buy a new personality with their minimum benefits. The teachers I had were amazing though, School still looks as bad as when I left. Would leave a 0 rating review if it was possible, there are more wrong with this school but its not worth the time.

Despite the school rating I really love this school for our son. He loves it too and has really thrived here. The administration cares greatly and it shows and thats what I appreciate the most. I feel like they are open to conversation and meeting with us parents to address concerns or just talk about progress made. Were relocating out of state and are going to miss Highlands dearly.

Highlands Elementary is a school that has a hard working staff that deal with a variety of students from various backgrounds. It is important to remember that many students have specific needs and the staff works hard to address these needs. There are many families that have benefited from Highlands and I know that many more will continue to do so. More community/parent involvement is needed as there are many events such as Cultural Night, Parent Teacher conferences and other activities to engage the students not only in the classroom but within the community.

No PTA meetings available. The office looks disorganize probably do to the lack of staff. The school as a lot of trash bags and papers rolling around I think they could clean it up a bit. I don't think kids are properly challenged in their education. I don't feel my child is getting the education our tax dollars are paying for. I'm going to look into moving my child to another school.

I have found this school to be a good one for kids of all types. Staff are always willing to make families to feel comfortable and to give knowledge of how to be more involved with your students work and capabilities. Yes test scores may be down a bit but the teacher quaility is 100% effort there! Teachers bend over backwards to help you(as the parent) and your student(s) to succeed!
