I am very impressed with Sunnyslope Elementary School. From the moment I entered the building, I could tell that its a warm, welcoming environment where children are encouraged to thrive. The teachers are dedicated and truly care about their students success. The curriculum is well-rounded, offering strong programs in reading, math, science, and social studies. The school also provides excellent opportunities for students to explore the arts, music, and physical education. The Principal is amazing. Its clear that they value a holistic approach to education. One of the highlights of Sunnyslope Elementary is its strong sense of community. Parents are regularly invited to events, and theres an active PTA that supports both the school and its students.

This is a great school! Students learn in a caring, academic oriented and safe environment.
Everyone from the staff to the teachers and principal are amazing.
Our child continues to make better academic progress each day as she is surrounded by great teachers that care.

We had a great start and smooth transitioning to Kindergarten. My daughter has already learned so much and the most important part is that she is very eager to learn more. The school has done a great job creating a fun, safe and nurturing learning environment for kids. Overall wonderful school!

We have been there with our kids for 3 years and they are so great! Very personable and strive to make our needs met for our kids.

My family absolutely loves this school! The principal, Mrs. Fundanet is amazing and every teacher weve had has been wonderful. There is strong parent/family involvement which is refreshing to see.

This school honestly cares about the children they educate. Mrs Santos is an incredible Kindergarten teacher. Our daughter continually amazed us with the things she learned during the day. I would highly recommend this school and we are looking forward to antoher year next year!

Sunnyslope overall is a great school. I love the self manager program and the watch dogs. (Dads of great students). However it must be said that there is one teacher there that is long overdue for retirement. S. Tankersly nearly destroyed school for my little girl. She kept trying to push our daughter into ADHD meds despite our doctor's evaluation that she was fine. "I would base my thirty year career that he is wrong" Thank goodness we got my daughter away from that horrible woman.

Sometimes you have to move away from somewhere to realize the immensity of your loss. Although, we knew we would miss Sunnyslope, we were not aware of how much. It is the teachers, staff and principal that make this school great, no doubt. The academics there are appropriately challenging but what impressed us most is the connection and effort that the staff makes with the kids. It seems that all the kids are called by their names by the lunch staff, custodian, principal, front office - not just by their home room teachers. Each student has a sense of being an important part of a community. The down falls of the school are mostly financially related - I wish they had an art department, better playground equipment (though my kid never complained), smaller classes and more after school sports programs. The PTA is a hard working group that hosts many school spirited functions to their credit. We always felt like it was a safe, positive and inspiring environment. Thanks Sunnyslope, you do a great job!
