As a student this school doesnt care about its kids, nor does it listen to them. during the pandemic and online learning everyone is either staying up until three am or are failing.

teachers are forced to give out excessive amounts of homework due to how admin has treated online learning.

Our experience has been mostly positive. The challenging aspects related to individual accelerated learning plans when attempting to work through guidance counselors. Positive results only occurred after getting department heads involved.

There are fights in the bathrooms, so bullying isn't really dealt with

Posted: December 10, 2018

Pretty poor. Kids get in fights in the bathroom. Fire alarms going off in the bathroom because kids are vaping, taking away from what could be useful time. The new 10-10 rule not allowing kids to go to the bathroom. Kids don't go during passing time because they don't want to be marked late and have a bad attendance record which will lead to even more trouble.

Horrible. They started going through kids backpacks and phones over a rumor, multiple kids getting in huge fights some going to the hospital, and a huge drug problem in the school. Would not recommend AT ALL

High school is always perceived with bad teachers, late nights of homework, rigged social classes and terrible clubs. At Tahoma, I found by personal experience and ear that none of these are true. Teachers, whether AP or not have good teaching methods and take time to help students falling behind or need help. Most are very good in the field, minus a few exceptions. There are late nights doing homework, but mostly this is affected by the difficulty of classes you take and your schedule in extra curricular activities. The environment often feels like anyone could be excepted, and special ed kids aren't picked on by staff or student. Yes, the goal is for you to exceed and be prepared for the future, but clubs and sports are a focus as well, encouraging everyone to be in one, and with a variety of clubs and sports, there's somewherewere anyone can find friends. Yes, I know it sounds corny but that's Tahoma. Various events around the year try to get people of all caliber to know each otherand theres plently of staff and resources to help you achieve your goals. I love it here.

Hands down the best school! National recognized for their academics, athletics, and clubs such as "We the People". As a student I felt as if this school prepared me to be a well rounded student and citizen. This school truly cares for every child's future. You can't go wrong with being in the Tahoma School District.

It is an awesome school. It offers a lot of AP classes, college nights, and extra help is always available. It has been rated as a top school according to Newsweek and US and World Report. The students receive top notch education and are very prepared for the "real world".
