Front desk staff and administrators are extremely unprofessional as compared to Central kitsap High School, Klawhowya High and other schools our military family has experienced out-of-state. They do not encourage parental involvement and actually resist parental involvement directly contradicting district district policies. They selectively enforce rules, do not adhere to District policies and are retaliatory and hostile when you ask for policy clarification.
If you just want your child to graduate and go into a trade, with the social environment with minimal accountability here, Olympic is probably adequate and they will enjoy school.
However, by our experience this is not a good school for college prep. Classrooms can be extremely disruptive and the children are not held accountable, much like the office staff in their disturbing condescending treatment of parents (experienced and observed).
Its very hit and miss with the teachers. Most are very nice, but I question their experience connecting and educating on a diverse level it is critical for a high school educator.
I have significant experience as a volunteer at my childrens schools Olympic High school is not a well run school and the education is disturbingly subpar.
If your childs education matters to you, I highly suggest exploring another option. If you dont care, you dont care.

I was a little hesitant to enroll my child in this school. However, the principal is a no mess around kind of person. Which, I really respect. I find this to be one of the most inclusive schools in the district as well. And when every single school in the district had lock downs, this school had zero for all the years my child attended. Like every school in the district, drugs and fights are a thing. Teach your child to hang out with the right crowds. Also, the counselors there are amazing!

Throughout the second semester, my 16-year-old daughter began her studies at this school. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm welcomes and felt a sense of belonging. The staff and teachers went above and beyond to ensure that we were well-informed and supported throughout the transition process. They were always available to answer any questions or concerns we had and made a concerted effort to keep us updated on our daughter's progress. Their open communication and dedication to their students' success made it clear that this school was the right choice for our family.

7.5/10. Most teachers, in my experience, are awesome and do try to help their students. Administrators and security arent exactly as productive as they should. Students, mostly sophomore and freshman, have no clear understanding of respect.

No... if anything they encourage it. Expect kids to turn into gang members and thugs.. they are totally against equality and hate speech is very common here

Nope, students throw around hate slurs and say terrible things. Especially to LGBT+ students.

And nothing is done to punish the hateful gangsters and rednecks.

I had the hardest time with both my high school students at Olympic High School. Everytime I contacted the facility I felt like I had to fight for my kids to get any type of support from their teachers and staff. I disliked the school so much that when my youngest reached the age to go to Olympic I did a choice transfer to a school that supports their students and cares about their progress in learning.

This is a great school, I graduated from there. The staff is doing a very good job with the limited resources available.
