We really love this school and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great Montessori for their child.

Our 4 y/o has grown so much since starting here. She used to be pretty shy and quiet, and now she’s become such a social butterfly. Her drawing, writing, coloring, and painting have improved so much, and she’s always coming home telling us random facts she learned about weather, natural disasters, animals, and more.

She talks about her classmates all the time, along with her teachers Mrs. Zegers and Mrs. Bloomsberg, and of course Mrs. McClendon’s chickens. It’s so sweet seeing how excited she is about school.

We also really appreciate that they post photos of the kids’ activities through a private app for parents/guardians. It’s so fun getting to see what she’s doing during the day and seeing her in action!

We love the Montessori focus on independence too, and we’ve definitely seen that carry over at home. She’s gotten better about putting away her toys, helping out, and trying to do things on her own.

Overall, it’s just a really great school with wonderful teachers, and we’re so thankful our daughter gets to be part of it.

We've been part of the CK Montessori family for the past two years, and as my daughter finishes kindergarten, we're genuinely heartbroken to leave for first grade. This school has been so much more than a school it's been her home away from home.
The staff, especially Mrs. McClendon, Mrs. Bloomsburg, Ms. Zegers, and Miss M, have been incredibly caring, welcoming, and supportive. My daughter has chronic health issues and has missed school for surgeries and recovery days, yet the teachers have always gone above and beyond to make sure she felt loved, included, and never fell behind. From thoughtful cards and stuffed bears to optional at-home work, they've shown our family so much compassion.
The curriculum is engaging and impressive. My daughter has learned ASL, geography, life skills, and so much more. She loves the hands-on experiences, class pets, music days, yearly field trip, Lunch Bunch, pumpkin patch on the playgrkund day and special events like Applesauce Day and Firetruck Day.
What stands out most is the positive, nurturing environment. Every morning starts with warm greetings, communication is excellent, and the teachers encourage kindness, confidence, and independence. In all our time here, we've never had a negative experience.
As a parent with older children who has experienced many schools, CK Montessori is truly special. My daughter dreads three-day weekends because she loves being there so much. We will always be grateful for the love, support, feeling of safety, security and education she received here.

The classroom is clean and very well organized, and the teachers do an amazing job at upholding the Montessori philosophy. Everyday my daughter asks, "is it a school day?" If she is happy and loving it, then so am I!!!

My daughter has attended CK for the past year and will be returning for her kindergarten year. I feel that this school has prepared her for the many different learning experiences to come. The teachers are all genuinely interested in your child and their success as learners. They are always available and provide great feedback.

I loved everything about this school, but my husband was skeptical until I scheduled an interview for him. He walked out of there and said why didn't you tell me about all that? I had to laugh because I tried. He was 100% on board with me and our son enjoys attending Central Kitsap Montessori.
