I went there and that school horrible, some things they would do there is make u run laps if u didn’t know wanna be friends with someone also they will call you a Brat. Let’s just say take your kids to another school

Keep your kids away from this school , I had my kid in there for a few years due to Christian beliefs, I was wrong! My child was bullied and marginalized because she was not from this specific Demographic country and did not speak they’re language, I talked with the principal and teachers about it and that hurt my child even more , just keep your kids away come this school if you don’t want them to suffer for a long time !!

This school is utterly absurd. I attended this school for my first grade year, and one of my teachers there was morbidly obese, somebody PLEASE sign her up for a gym membership before i do. (I don't remember her name, but she had a daughter named Ariana and was linked to the school principal). It appeared that my inability to speak their language led to discrimination and neglect on my part. (I tried my best to cooperate and learn; i spoke Ukrainian; there was also a girl to assist me, but the teacher STILL disregarded me.) She was unwilling to remember my name and ignored me when we were doing classwork. The staff is utterly obnoxious and extremely rude to their students

Kindergarten was sent home with homework. Did a good job developing writing and phonetics. Children worked on math as well.

Teachers have a hard time handling behaviors of small elementary children. I believe they are effective in teaching aspects.

I believe that this is related to the Baptist philosophy. open minds, cultural perspectives are not taught here. Strictly the Baptist view on the bible such as women should dress as women and do not belong in leadership roles within the church. Also, they influence students around political matters, which I feel there should be a separation between school and politics, unless it's being taught as a class in civics.

I don't believe equal opportunity is given. The student handbook is not reflective of what will occur at school, especially when it comes to discipline of children. Your rights as a parent are not clearly outlined and policy around behavior is not outlined for lower elementary students. Lack of documentation of process and consistency of process is not there.

This school seems happy to boot out students or force parents to withdraw students instead of being open and suggesting a student may need to be evaluated for learning disabilities. Staff are not equipped to handle students with different learning styles.

It took a lot of talking to have the teachers work with the parents on relocating desks when the student complained that other students were laughing and picking on them. Issues apparently never resolved. They are good at suspending children from school.

Overall, I do believe the teachers are caring towards students and early elementary education seems adequate. I think there needs to be more effective training in place in how to handle simple child behaviors. I find it unacceptable that at least 3 parents were forced to withdraw their children from kindergarten (or faced with expulsion) in the last two years. That rate seems to me to be abnormally high for the amount of students in attendance. More effort should be placed in effectively working with parents and children to reduce the disruption cycles. Sometimes children are faced with traumatic experiences and school can be the only stable environment for them. Instead of forcing their parents to remove them, teachers should investigate ways in helping the child navigate and encourage their educational experience. Disruptions in class happen, if the faculty are well trained and open minded to solving problems, then usually, these issues are resolved quickly. Paperwork and documentation need to be better executed at this school.

Very good experience,caring staff. They don't do it for the money,they do it because they love kids.

Our kids were doing much better with reading than in public school. Their teachers were great. The only exceprion is Mrs. Fricks. She has no business or credentials to be involved with the children. She's the principal's wife so she's not going anywhere. Watch out for her.

The school is great. Strict discipline and good academics. My kids spend a lot of time after school doing homework. This is what I want to see in a good school, and that is what I see in Cascade Vista Baptist School. On top of that - spiritual education for kids is priceless.

My daughter attended k4 this year and has learned quite a bit. She knows all letters, letter sounds and has started to put words together to read. She also has better penmanship than I do. They are very strict, which is actually a good thing in my book. The only negative thing I have to say is that the curriculum is a little repetitive (coloring and writing sheets) but it has helped my daughter learn so it must work. Great staff, great school and affordable.

Strict rules. Christian thinking that defers from the BAPTIST's doctrine teaching is not tolerated. Listening to the radio " Spirit 105.3" is condemned. Math in high school is behind public school curriculum. Nevertheless education from kindergarten till six grade is good.

My eldest one is attending the school now. The school is good - my kid is getting education that far exceeds of what is taught at public schools. The Christian aspect is also very appealing to me. I have noticed that school stresses more on humanities rather on science, but it is just my opinion. Overall, I am happy with this school.

I attended CVBS for 10 years, and I am thankful for the strong Christian foundation it has given me. My parents put me in this school for its standard of education and discipline. The teachers care for their students, and they are committed to giving them a good education as well as teaching them to be stronger Christians. CVBS may have limited options for the extra curricular activities compared to public schools, but what they do have is still great, and the students enjoy it. I came to know the Lord while attending this school, and today, I desire that God will use my life for His glory wherever He decides to lead me. This school not only equipped me with a strong academic foundation in preparation for the "real world" but also taught me Christian values that I will use for the rest of my life.

My son has been going to this school for 9 years. The students have more respect for adults and other children then most kids in public schools. His education is top notch. I have have gotten to know all the teachers over the years and i'm very impressed with their caring and wanting to see all the children succeed. I have gone on lots of field trips and have heard time and again " What wonderful and well behaved group of kids." I'm very greatful to have my son in this school.

CVBS is a great school for my child. The teachers really care about the student's and take the extra time to be more involved with them unlike my experience with public schools. They teach good christian values that's certainly missing from todays schools. Overall I will definitely continue to have my children here and recommend this school to anybody.

As with every medium of this type, there are always those who do not represent themselves and their comments honestly. I came across these comments looking at Google Maps and can personally attest to the fact that these comments are at best unfounded and at worst out and out lies. The school has never closed down or been closed down for any reason since it has been opened and the cost is one of the lowest for private education in the area. I will not address the comments in a public forum as to the idea that the teachers here are only in it for the money. I will say this. I took a pay cut and increased the number of hours I worked coming here because I am dedicated to Christian education (as are all of our teachers here). As Pastor Fricks said, our test scores and testimony of our students speak for themselves. I invite those that continue to make these comments to prove their unfounded remarks or recant these false ones. Mr. Rick Jones, Registrar and Teacher CVBS.
