I enjoy being at this school and would recommend the school for learning more about different cultures as it is very diverse. I especially enjoy the family feel and staff that are working for a community feel.

My son loves this school and wishes he would have attended for 7th grade as well. This is a school that is in the middle of the Kent Valley and surrounded by low income housing and apartments; don't be delusional and think that the majority of these students are all high-achieving "A" students with great support systems that come to school ready to work and have no serious personal distractions. Many come from crazy home environments and bring their experiences to the school. We had serious doubts about our sons ability to succeed here.
HOWEVER, this school more than makes up for it in clubs, opportunities, the Technology Academy, great teachers, tons of extracurricular activities and events, and a diverse student base. This is a real world school and you have to be tough-minded to not get distracted and do the work. It's been a learning experience for my son and I would not take that away from him. It's not for everyone but it might surprise you if you give it a chance.

What a wonderful place...filled with wonderful toys and pretty flowers and puppy dogs...can't wait to go back!

Can I rate it negative stars? This school is a joke. Bullying and fight rampant! No respect by the kids and no action taken by the teachers. The current principal is clueless and needs to go back to elementary school. You can say that you do not stand for bullying in your little letter to the parents and if that's true, why am I reading about your poor school in the Kent Reporter. A story of a poor girl bullied a beaten. Surely this is not the first incident. I hope you take this seriously. Besides behavior this school ranks extremely low in test scores. 78% worse than other schools in Washington State. Embarrassing. Where is the accountability.
