Im sad that the district doesnt recognize what the school needs for the students and teachers and decided not to listen to the teachers and parents or community about what AJ needs for the administrator and future of the school.
The school is not going to have any hope for improvement. I would move my student to a different school if I could, especially if I had any special services or behavioral issues. Theres no support staff or special services that can help your child at this school and a new administration that doesnt have experience with Auburn is not going to be able to help anyone.

If you want your kid to get bullied or injured to a point of going to the hospital and the teachers wont do anything about it when they were told about the incident by the student, this school is for you. Their negligence causes more harm than good in any teaching environment. The principal is no pal to anyone but to cover the teachers actions.

I had only one child attend this school for ECE - preschool for one year. And while we had to transfer to our school closer to home, we certainly miss this school for a number of reasons. His teacher Ms. B was amazing and did wonderful with the children. The children utilized the whole school very well, to experience the library, had assemblies, performances and used the playground. It's a beautiful school and well kept, new with a nice view. Always clean and easy to park at. We certainly miss being here and I can see all the many things they did right in comparison.

I would say most schools dont have the same standards as AJ and the teachers do care about their students. The teachers are helpful and they can be trusted with my opinion on how I feel about my childrens education and needs. I dont always agree with them, but they are very outspoken about their own issues and I am too. The administration is half way there. Behavioral issues can be solved by removing some staffing barriers that may cause problems.
Parent pick up after school and the late start times are not working for me, but that is a personal preference.

Ive had three children attend AJ. There are many dedicated, hard working and caring teachers at this school. Staff works to provide enrichment opportunities to their students and always greet students with smiles and words of encouragement. The office staff is friendly and helpful too.

Eric Daniel does not care about the children or the staff. All he cares about is how he makes himself look. If you want a school where the staff does not believe in the administration then send your child here!

the staff are all very friendly and warm. The principal is a great listener and is open to new ideas.
I feel fortunate my child is able to attend this great school.
The PTSA is very active providing family nights and after school enrichment for students and for parents.

I have children in K, 3rd and 5th grade and they have all had a great experience at AJ. The principle is great. He is always available on all occasions. His great leadership is visible in the conduct and responsiveness of the teachers.

Aj has a great staff from the Principal who is always willing to listen to ideas and feed back, attents PTSA meetings, and is a visual fixture in the school to the teachers, learning specialists, and support staff. Aj takes a proactive whole child approach to learning, from a healthy lunch program, to computer lab and outdoor time, they have a healthy ballance between enrichment and academics, the staff and parents seem friendly and happy as do students. The PTSA is active and involved with family movie nights, popcorn sales, and art programs. Classes offer groups and or resources for all levels and they have programs for those with language or reading barriers as an example. We were also pleased to see the positive ideas Aj works hard to promote a positive school enviornment, with assemblies, student work in the halls, special rewards for citizenship, and constaint contact via email and handouts. Aj is a newer school and probably still forming its identity but the staff seems to be working hard to make Aj a great school, you can see there pride. As parents we feel so positive about our child being at Aj and look forward to many more years.
