I agree with the review stating teachers bully the students. This happened to my daughter twice. I’d never experienced this with either of my children prior to last year (2025-26). I reported both incidents and nothing was done. The teachers are protected over and above the students. In fairness to the administration it did seem as if they were constantly monitoring and correcting student behavior above all else and the teachers’ bad behavior unfortunately slid by unnoticed. The former Principal is a lovely person and he worked hard but I believe his focus on student behavior caused him to overlook teacher behavior. I hope the next administration carefully reviews every staff member and makes necessary changes. I’ve pulled my child and she will be attending another school for 7th grade, but for the sake of all the other kids, I truly hope some of the long term problematic teachers are replaced. Not letting kids go to the bathroom and making examples out of good kids by shaming them in front of the other students is NEVER okay.

This school has a Major issue with bullying not just with the students but with the teachers against students. Due to that this school is run in a way that is UnSafe. Bullying isn't the same it used to be and I didn't know it or realize it until Eisenhower. The difference from the school my kiddo is in now to Eisenhower is Massive. The whole school and the ENTIRE staff Needs to be retrained on more than being judgemental Racists right when they meet a CHILD who doesn't look like them. Do better or close down before you hurt more kids.

Dr. Wilnic Gedeon is an excellent Principal! He has won Principal of the year in Florida. He cares about his staff and the students. It’s rare to find a leader like him that is desperately needed in all schools across the nation.

Great school, great academic programs, athletic programs, CTE programs. School competes at the high school level in robotics. One of the best middle schools in the state of Washington.

Four of my children attended this school. There is ample opportunity to have your child enrolled in quality classes and activities with good and dedicated teachers. Most of the parents are very engaged but as in any school there are parents who don't care and students who wish to cause disruption. The faculty will help steer your child into classrooms with the achievers and in the event that your child is placed with a teacher who has a high number of problem children the teacher will usually ensure that their students who want to learn are provided with coursework to learn. While the quality of education can never match a homeschool curriculum you shouldn't worry that your high achieving kiddo will be dragged down to the common denominator. The teachers really do care and they work long hours but there is not much they can do when they are required by district policy to waste time and resources on kids and parents who should really be placed in a more suitable environment that reflects their disdain for education and merit.

The school has constant problems with bullying and racial discrimination. The staff only care about themselves and not the kids. My friend was bullied and harassed by a group of girls and reported it multiple times, but the staff never did anything. I do not recommend this school for kids.

My son is only in the 6th grade, and yet he has been racially harassed, a boy broke a glass water bottle and wanna to hurt my son. This school is always having lock downs due to safety issues-children bringing weapons to school on more than one occasion in a school year, strangers off the street walking onto the school campus, inside of the school itself. Eisenhower needs more security for these kids!!it's scary to have a child going through this, being targeted due to his race, vice principals overlooking thw real issues.this was my sons first year here..and will definitely be his last.

DO NOT BRING YOUR KIDS TO THIS SCHOOL IF YOU CARE ABOUT THEIR SAFETY. KIDS BRING WEPONDS, THERES A HUGE BULLYING ISSUE, IF YOUR CHILD IS BEING BULLIED AND HAS TO DEFEND THEMSELVES EXPECT YOUR CHILD TO BE IN TROUBLE AS WELL.
THE TEACHERS COULD CARE LESS. I REPEAT DO NOT BRING YOUR KIDS HERE!!!!!

Many teachers pick favorite students, and they point out kids they do not like. 6th graders don't even have time outside. After lunch we just go to our next period. I am currently a student who started here 5 days ago. I know I am judging too early, but i'm saying, so far, I am not having the best experience.

My daughter loves it here. She’s got in trouble a couple times for cell home usage but every kid is. The teachers communicate well and the school seems to do a good job transitioning kids from primary to secondary school. We haven’t had any issues with the staff or other students. Their additional behavioral support for students that need it is very good as they dedicate an entire daily period to it, not just periodic check-ins.

Honestly if you can, send your students to a better middle school. I was talking with some friends who went to Eisenhower and we all agreed the staff treat students poorly; None of them have any regards for what comes out of there mouth and how they make the students feel. And if they don’t like a specific student they will make it known, TO THAT STUDENT threw out the two years I went there I never felt once that I could let my guard down and the stories and videos I have of the staff/school are slightly concerning looking back now that it’s been 2+ years. If your student tells you about mistreatment at this school I would more then believe them so please do listen to your kids. I was told more then once that I wouldn’t make it in life and would end up in jail. I would often have panic attacks because of the staff overall I had a huge wave of dread every time I went to that school, and I feel bad for all the students the staff don’t choose the like.

A militant style approach to learning. An administration that is out of touch with today's teens. They lack the ability to meet kids where they are today, following a pandemic that created so much uncertainty and inconsistencies with kids. They are too focused on disciplining kids with lu children detention and after school detention to even scratch the surface of what today's teen needs.

I have a mixed experience. I'm a substitute teacher as well as a parent. As a substitute, I can say Ike's teachers are some of the best, some of my absolute favorites! They're creative, charismatic, and I enjoy working for them. My kid has had great experiences with teachers here, as well.

As for the administration, prior to 2016, the counselors came and went. It was a problem for several years. Administrative staff came and went. In the middle of 2016, the principal had a meltdown and quit. The current principal, Mr. Allen, stuck around for an entire year and seems to be in it for the long haul. So far, I feel like I can see some change and it's good.

Only thing I'm not sure about is bullying. My kiddo experienced some bullying issues and I don't feel like they were effectively dealt with. I'm not sure why, but probably the rotating band of administrators. The counseling staff seems really awesome but overwhelmed. But again, they've all stuck it out for a few years at this point, so I'm hoping this is a sign that Ike is really shaping up to be an awesome school.

I would rate my experience at this school to be a 4/5 at the very least. I absolutely love this school all of the staff are great and so is the organizational structure of the way they have things set up. Since I am a student there I am there just about everyday and experience all that comes with it they have so many intelligent students that some honor classes are full.

Horrible school.....actually promotes bullying.....my child was taken out of the class shared with the bully to do her work in the office.....so the bully could go to class....

I have to leave this school due to moving, and i am really disappointed. I had great friends and the teachers here supports our education. From what i read in the comment section, the school had made a turn and changed. The only problem was that i hope Eisenhower would have more events and entertainment for the students to enjoy. I love Ms.Tracy because how shes strict about learning and help you improve your skills. I love Dr.Sasnett because she encourages us and helps everyone, she puts alot of time for the special kids and makes them feel proud.

I just recently enrolled to this school. It's actually a great school. The teachers were kind and they update grades daily. I love how they offer a preparation for college. This school is trying hard for their students to achieve a better career and dream. This school should deserve a higher rating.

If I could give this school less than 1 star I would. It used to be a great school. Now the administration and people in charge (which are all interim leaders because they cannot hold onto ANY one) are a joke. Very unprofessional and I've been privy to behavior from them that deems worse than any student that attends this fiasco of a school. I DO believe that they have some great teachers, but they are overshadowed by the debacle of a staff. If you can place your child elsewhere, I suggest doing it. At least until they actually get some staff that care about their jobs, community, and students education.

I am abused. Hit,slapped, pinched All these words tell you what happens to me all the time at this school. I've never had better grades but I'm still hurt all the time. I know what ever school you go to you'll be bullied but this place huts me. I like only few teachers, they all don't care( even if it happens right in front of the) if students are bullied I'm always getting hurt in class like badly. If I say something they put me on step, step is a poor excuse for discipline at there school they don't have detention. Step is confusing to. I'm a good student with good grades I play sports and not a nerd but still come on really they can do better at helping students.
