Our son went here starting 2022. We were very worried based on the online reviews, but we're presently surprised. Teachers where very communicative and invested in our sons learning. We always felt safe and welcome here.

The class size were large, but that appears to be the new normal here.

The grounds are lovely - surrounded by trees and grass.

School needs help, kids with learning disabilities just flying threw. No help or communication unless it’s all about what’s not happening. For other students who are great at learning homework would be nice so when they get into high school, middle school they are prepared for the real world.

My experience so far at cedar valley has been positive. The staff at the schools does an excellent job from what I have experienced at taking care and educating our children. My son is in kindergarten so it’s my first year having a student attend. I’ll be straight to the point I was hesitant sending my child to a title 1 school. I’ve been happy with our experience so far! Being involved with your kids education is key!

My 3 children attended this school a few years ago. The school is among the worst I've seen. The teachers don't teach and get paid for just showing up at school on a daily basis. One of my children's teacher screamed at the class for being loud and told them directly that they were the worse class she ever had. During a parent/teacher conference, my son's reading teacher just sat there and told me to read the comments that were written on the report card rather than telling me verbally. There wasn't any need for a conference if this was how the reading teacher handled it. This school needs to be evaluated for quality and credibility. Please look into this for the sake of the children.

This was never present while my 3 children was attending this school.

The principle lacks a strategic plan for the students to develop and improve individually.

Of all the teachers that 3 of my children had at the school, there was only 1 teacher that actually taught relevant material. The rest was just there to get paid and pretended as though they were teaching.

The homework that was assigned to my children did not relate to what was being taught in class. My son had a difficult time doing his homework on an ongoing basis and he has never had this problem at his other schools. His Math teacher, in particular, did very little to help him understand during class time and moved onto the next topic even though he along with other students did not understand the material.

At Cedar Valley Elementary the office staff are always very helpful and informative, and take the time to know the children's families and various circumstances. The faculty and staff strive to make learning a great experience for the children. I want to thank all of them for their hard work and dedication. Most of all, Mr. Rosand has been a great Principal and he is there for all of the children at Cedar Valley. He is easy to talk to and he's friendly and he cares about the success of each child.

Cedar Valley has great teachers, staff and principal. They work at every level to meet the needs of each individual child. There is also a lot of community involvement and support from organizations such as Covington Kiwanis, Covington Rotary, Mt. Vineyard Church, and Costco. The school has a grant for after school assistance every day all school year long and summer school is also an available option. The school also serves as a site for free summer lunches for kids. The PTA provides an after school art club and an excellent and fun reading incentive program. If you are considering Cedar Valley, go for it!
