Right now I'm a student in 8th grade, with a 3.9 GPA. First of all, according to my experience, I would like to say in most cases only how much effort you give towards your work, only matters, it just depends on what type of student you are. So right now I'm in honors ela and social studies, and in geometry, and I would say the humanities(what e call ela, and SS)teachers are nice, they might grade being a bit extra picky but if you have the right material you will be fine. And in math (Mr. Kwong) is such a chill teacher, he teaches well and does help you if you need it. We usually have tests every other week, but the good news is they are usually only 1 page or 1 and d1/2 at max. And they are easy to pass or even ace if you understand the concept and pay attention in class. In PE all the teachers are very nice as well, for example, Mr.Judd he is amazing, will teach you sports very thoroughly and really care for every student. The art teacher has a great sense of humor, but also teaches many techniques when doing art. And Mrs. Vanoske is just amazing, she is also very chill and understanding, also just her way of teaching just really fits those facts into your brain. Overall I have got easy A's in all my classes, and you can too if you actually try to learn cause you know only your knowledge will help make a way in your future, (also get you a good job, to make lots of moneeeyyyy!!)

I was somewhat skeptical before sending my son to Meridian Middle school based on the reviews. I decided to take the risk and it turned out to be great experience for my son in every aspect including academics, sports and personal development. He excelled in all areas and credit goes to all his teachers. Just to name a few, Ms. Smith, Ms Mohr, Mr. Heath and Mr Wright were all awesome. I enjoyed the parent teacher meeting to understand the strengths and weak areas so I can focus on helping him build those. Overall, if you as a parent are busy with everyday work but do take the time to check in on the kids regularly to make sure they are doing their homework etc. and ensure youre spending at least some quality time with them to help build character that only parents can hone in on, then this school will certainly help to maximize their learning and overall bring them to their full potential.

horrible. my son attended end of 7th and all of 8th. teachers/staff kept blaming him for incidents when he didnt start it. his IEP was a huge mess. he wasnt treated fairly and they did NOTHING about a bullying issue. my son also saw kids with electronic cigarettes on a regular basis

The staff and teachers at Meridan are excellent. My daughter currently goes there and is doing very well. The teachers we have met are patient with the students and are more than happy to assist them when they are struggling or have a question. They also have a no bullying policy and say no to drugs program that they teach in health/PE and teach them how to handle difficult situations which we really appreciate. They teach the students to respect each other. We are very impressed at their dedictation to the student's education and well-being.

I am a student at Meridian and I looooove it. The school has an awesome band and science program. Actually. All of their programs are excellent. All of the teachers push you to do the best you can. But the teachers are also very fair. the extra-curricular activities are great.
