From what Ive heard Pine Tree has had a great turn around over the last 5 or so years. Dr. Steiner has been doing a fantastic job of making the school a fun and engaging place for kids to learn. Like any school there are areas that could be improved, but overall Im happy my kid goes here.

Steiner has been really helping making this school a great place for my kiddo. Teachers have all been amazing. 3 years so far.

They dont give homework. They used too, but the teachers are lazy

The worst school ever. Kindergarten and first grade were the only grades that was decent, the rest were a waste of time.

This our third year here, third principal! Can't seem to keep teachers. Students are out of control, even in the younger grades!

I think the teachers should notice when a child is getting bored due to not being challenged enough. Parents shouldn't have to notify the school if this, it should be the other way around

Not happy at all! They can't seem to keep principals or teachers at this school. Kids are disrespectful and out of control. Not to mention that the school has no money, as does the district itself. We are currently looking into getting our child out of PT.

Pine Tree is going through a lot of changes. The new principal, Diane Ellis is moving the school in the right direction. Postive things are happening.

This is a pretty decent school with a good staff (mostly) and a hard-working principal who puts in extra hours. I really like the vast majority of students, but like most schools, there are a handful that everyone would be better off without. Discipline is moderate compared to other Kent Elementary schools. A walk down the hallway will let you know which classes are run efficiently, and which are wild and out of control. By my modest and VERY approximate estimate, 3/4 classes are run well. This school also has a gifted program for grades 3-6. As a guest teacher I've had nothing but good experiences here, although I've seen others struggle. PE and music teachers are both exceptional.
