My son has been going to this school for almost 4 years now. The school staff does a GREAT job in educating students. Be it academic, extra curricular activities (field trips, arts, sports), after school programs, my son uses most of the facilities provided by school and enjoys every minute of it. He always has cool stuff to talk about after coming back from school.

Awful for special needs kids. Our son has autism and reverted at this school. They did not know how to handle him and punished him inappropriately. Once we moved to the Midwest and got him in a better school he's flourishing. The staff does not have the knowledge to handle children who are not typical.

Ive had multiple kids go through Horizon. The staff is amazing, everyone cares about the kids and they work hard to make sure the kids are meeting their educational goals. Love this school!

My daughter is easily distracted. This means 80% she is behind in her class work. Instead of working with her in completing her work they let her get away with her not doing her work. Which means she's falling behind

The only way they handle it is by pulling both kids in the principal office. It is an awkward situation for the kid being bullied. They have a stanced kids will be kids. Not an acceptable way of actually handling it

I'm willing to penny pinch to put my daughter I'm a school that actually encourages and helps her education.

There is no homework. No expectations of completing work.

Very disconnected with reaching the kids. It's like they've given up

Violence is EXPECTED - they provide the violent kids with 'squishys' my daughter has been bullied by boys, kicked, punched with little disciplinary action

My son will be entering his 3rd year at Horizon and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the experience so far. The teachers have been great, and my son has advanced beyond my expectations.

My daughter is in 3rd grade and has attended Horizon since kindergarten. She has always had teachers who cared about her academic and personal growth. Many of my friends have boys and I have never heard any complaints. In this day and age you have to be an active participant in your childs education at school and at home. Horizon is a great school!

Ditto to the last comment. That's why we pulled our kids out of that school. Same things we were unhappy with. We know several families that have had trouble there, especially with their sons. I also recommend finding a different school. What is wrong with the staff there?

Horizon is an awful school. There isn't much good about it. Most of the teachers have no patience at all with children. My son is in the third grade, very bright but reads worse than he did in kindergarten. The teachers don't seem to like boys at all. I've seen women teachers humilate them, and several people have told me they've seen it also.over the slightest things. They are diverse to the detriment of the other children, who get ignored. They don't teach cursive writing or decent math. Don't let your children go there if at all possible.
