Liberty!!! I’ve had, now all four of my kids there for last 7 years. We live out of the zone for the school, but they go to daycare on the school bus route. It broke my heart when my son (now in third grade) May not have been able to go there due to our new home. Literally cried. They are like family. Now sixth grader left 5th grade reading and math at a grade and 2 higher then average. Son left 2nd grade, last year 2 grades higher then average for both. Oldest, now a junior, has struggled since kindergarten. Moving into Liberty area for last 2 years of elementary , she finally started to feel confident with the struggles she previously cried about.

The Good: Academically, it has been a great place of learning for our kids. The teachers push those who need it, and those who are behind are helped. This has been our experience. The Bad: There are some rotten terrible children who go to this school! My eldest child seems to handle everything with good reasoning, but my youngest is so sensitive to the harsh mean things that some kids say and do. Its a bit of a get tough or get bullied situation. Bulling is a huge issue at this school, and the support staff that should be dealing with bullies and behavioral issues are so taxed-my guess it is because it is so prevalent here-or they just suck at it--but it is a good school. its just an inner urban school, and that comes with its own complications that a smaller, less diverse, school doesn't have.
