If i could give this place a 0 I would. The Principal at this School should have a warning under her name. Lillian Wagner has no sense of communication skills and lacks any emotion support for children. I am flabbergasted how one is in charge of all these children but talks ill of children with the same
breath . I pray for anyone who encounters her.
Please believe me when i say some humans are in the wrong profession and Lillian Wagner is one of
them.

It has been a pleasure to teach at ECF this year. The Avondale Elementary School District provides curricula, technology and resources that are beyond compare! The community, parents, colleagues and administration have supported my efforts in the classroom 100%. This has made me a better educator. I am so proud of my students' achievements. We are already looking forward to year 2017-2018. Way to go Thunderbirds!!

Our school site has many structures in place to meet the unique needs of all learners. There are both self-contained and special education pull-out programs available. There is a class devoted at each grade specific to English Language Learners. ECF implements the targeted Success for All reading intervention program where students are placed at their appropriate instructional level. Students also have opportunity for after school tutoring and enrichment thru the 21st Century Community Learning Centers grant. Each week teachers meet to review, discuss and plan instructional techniques to support the needs and promote success of all their students.

Our school implements the highly acclaimed and comprehensive reading program Success for All. Not only is this program proven to be highly effective for its targeted phonics and comprehension components, it includes the Getting Along Together curriculum. This wonderfully integrates social and character skills into the other subjects and entire academic day. ECF also implements the PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Support) program.

My colleagues at ECF are always professional and friendly. We work collaboratively each week to share ideas, celebrate successes and target weaknesses to improve instruction and student achievement. I have always felt part of a team and supported to promote success.

Staff is very friendly. Teachers are easy to talk to. My children feel safe and are always happy to go to school.

In the last three years this school has increased it's state letter grade from a low D to a high C, even earning recognition by ASU for one of top improving schools in the state for the 2012-2013 school year. The school has reestablished the PTO to provide many great after school opportunities for families to engage in. ECF has also implemented Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports, PBIS, to create school wide rules, procedures, and expectations as well as incentives for students to exhibit the positive behavior. We would like to encourage all of our families to become more involved in the daily operations of the school. The school offers many opportunities for parents to help in the academic success of their child including volunteering in the classroom, curriculum nights and workshops, as well as chaperoning on field trips. This school is really bad starting of with the principal. their were so many substitutes and they even had teachers quitting in the middle of the school year, they had substitutes almost all year long. students didnt achieve much this year. i feel bad for all those parents who dont take the time to go and complain about the bad circumstances going on with the school of their children. i would like a good investigation to be done at this school enough said!

this school is HORRIBLE . my daughter has been getting bullied recently. the principal nor staff would help out ! she has been getting more into therapy. she has social anxiety which makes it worse. she comes home crying almost everyday. she has been scared of coming to school. her life has been turned upside down ever since she moved to this school

I really like this school.The teachers really like teaching their students. The staff is friendly and seems to really care about the kids and their families.

Both My kids go to ECF and Mrs Colon Is the rudest teacher I have ever met.. She Emberesses the students and makes them cry. I dont see how anyone can think she is great. However Mrs Graves is a great teacher and she knws how to treat and teach our children. You teach your children to be kind and respect other ppl and they go to school and meet a person who doesn't knw how to treat others!!! You don't yell at a child or raise your voice and make them feel worth less. Anyone in there right mind Knws that the biggest impact in a child is there parents and teacher who see them every or 5 days out of the week. If just one person makes them feel horrible that could make the child not want to go to school. Its like having a bully just its a teacher.

My daughter has been in school at ECF for three years and continues to thrive. The teacher, Ms. Colon she had for 5th grade as well as for this upcoming school year, has been phenomenal. Granted, there are things that can be changed at any school, and much success of the student also starts at home with the parent(s) being involved in the child's education. Bloggers can rant and rave about the school, but education is a two way street! Not all education is completed within the brick and mortar environment. So parents, get involved!!!
