We had two children at St. Peters Montessori: one started at 14 months and attended for 10 months, and another started at age 3 and attended for about 7 months. We had a good experience with the Nido program. Unfortunately our experience in Childrens House (ages 36) was very different, particularly regarding communication and how our concerns were handled. As an international military family with children still learning English, clear communication and collaboration were especially important to us.
Our first written concern to the administration went unanswered for over a month. During that time, daily drop-offs and pick-ups for our 3-year-old in Childrens House became very difficult. Communication with the teacher was good about many everyday things, but when it came to the concerns we had actually raised, they were not taken seriously.
Two months later, we got a meeting with the school administrationthe only meeting we had during our time at the school. We were able to explain our concerns, but we left without a clear solution, and much of the meeting was spent discussing other matters that felt unrelated to what we were trying to address. Afterward, nothing changed and our concerns remained.
Overall, our experience was that things may work well when everything is going well. However, when concerns arise and you need to advocate for young children who cannot yet fully speak for themselves, we found it extremely difficult to establish the communication and collaboration we needed with the Childrens House teachers and administration, despite working hard to do so. After we raised concerns with the administration in writing, both childrens enrollment was terminated by phone that same evening, without a meeting or prior warning, based on an allegation that I had yelled at a teacher. No such incident occurred.
Nido 1 and Nido 2 were a completely different experience. The teachers and assistants showed warmth, patience and provided a sense of safety, with respectful communication throughout. Our sons were very happy there, and we remain deeply grateful to the teachers and assistants who cared for them.
The purpose of sharing this review is simply to give other parents a fuller picture of our experience. Families considering a school should have the opportunity to hear both positive and negative experiences so they can make their own informed decision.

As we set out to choose a school for our daughter finding a school that truly included all children and all of their differences and likenesses was our top priority. We wanted a school that would prepare her naturally and completely for the real world. We wanted a school that celebrated family, faith, participation, health, safety, and most of all ability.

St. Peter's Montessori has fulfilled all of those things and more. The small environment promotes the need to have all students play a vital role in day to day activities as a community. The life skills learned go far beyond the physical realm, building each child's ability to be productive members of society. Each child learns communication, academics, mental and physical problem solving, and SO much more. This is a safe and intimate environment for children to become all that they can be.

I have not seen any evidence of bullying, and my son has learning disability and no one, teacher, parent, or kid has made him feel bad about himself.

Montessori education doesn't give homework. My son did all his learning at school, which made him naturally curious at home.

When my son is diagnosed with a learning disability, the teacher was able to help me get the right services. He really excelled here.

Wonderful. If you want a true Montessori education, with all the freedom of learning and expression that goes into that--this is the school for you. By far, the best Montessori school around. Scholarships are available and often awarded!

5 star experience with this school. Weve been part of this school since January 2017, when our daughter was almost 3, and we have really enjoyed each year. Its a small and welcoming community which a perfect environment to send your little ones into. They stick with the Montessori basics in this fast paced world and their techniques have more than prepared our daughter to confidently enter kindergarten.

My Primary student has some speech delays; his teachers did wonderful job accommodating his special needs. Teachers are patient and encourage a peaceful, learning environment.

My son's teacher really "gets" him. She takes the time to look at the reasons behind a behavior and looks to see what need is being expressed and how she can meet that need within the parameters of the class. I can't even tell you how much that means to me. More than academics, I want to know that my son's heart is safe at school, and I know that it is here.

They are very supportive of modifying the program to fit the child. They do not have special ed teachers though, so if a child needs more intensive help, they do not have it on campus.

We have been attending St. Peter's for 4 years now and love it. The school director is passionate about making it the best Montessori school and the teachers are all wonderful. We have seen our kids grow so much since starting in pre-school. We love that it is a small school where everyone knows each other, you really feel a sense of family. Also love that it is an AMI (traditional Montessori) recognized school!

We wouldn't send our child anywhere else. Our experience at St. Peter's Montessori has been exceptional! We have seen so much growth in our daughter. The Montessori Method has been a great fit for her. We are happy with the teachers, staff and curriculum. The environment is peaceful, nurturing and conducive to learning. It's a true Montessori school with AMI certification. I toured other local Montessori schools and they just didn't compare. This school is a hidden gem in Litchfield Park.

This school provides tremendous value to local education. They uphold the highest standards to Montessori method. We appreciate their approach to also empowering parents to understand their methodology and how to continue learning at home. By far, this is the best school in the west valley and a hidden gem.

St Peter's has been a great fit for our son. He has been in the Pre-K for three years. He has begun reading and is doing math work that you would typically see in a 1st/ 2nd grade classroom. He is at home with his teachers and classmates. We love that Montessori beautifully blends academics, with emotional and social skills. The environment is quiet and respectful, but allows for kids to be kids. This school is amazing!

St. Peter's is an AMI certified Montessori school and they adhere to the Montessori principles. Students have freedom of movement and work on Montessori material to learn language, mathematics, geography, arts, etc. The best part of this school is that it is child-focused. They are not doing things to impress parents. They are doing what is right for the child. Children learn to believe in their abilities and be proud of their work. They are encouraged to be creative and do their own work. St. Peter's is a happy place and the environment is supportive. They hire skilled teachers and have incredible retention rate. If you are looking for a true AMI Montessori school, you have to check out St. Peter's.

My children currently attend St. Peter s and are doing very well. The teachers can turn anything and everything into an educational experience for the students. They have created a very respectful environment where kids feel supported both by their teachers and by one another. The only downside would be the cost compared to public and charter school, but the school offers financial aid so it is not a huge concern. From what I have seen, it is more affordable and a better program than other Montessori schools in the area, and worth every dollar.

I could rave about this school forever! I m a so thankful that the school expanded beyond kindergarten, and now includes an elementary class. Children advance through lessons based on their competence of a subject, not based on age or grade or what might show up on a standardized test. My children continue to surprise and amaze me with what they learn. I m most impressed that they LOVE to learn. Most days at pick-up the children do not want to leave. In fact, while the students do not have formal homework (another win in my book!), oftentimes my kids want to take what they are doing at school and apply it to a project at home. Even better, with no homework, my children can just be kids after school they can run around and explore our world. I would highly recommend St. Peter s Montessori School to anyone wanting a top-notch Montessori education for their children. We plan to keep our children here as long as we can hopefully 6th grade as the school grows.
