Currently have multiple students in this school. For the most part our oldest child seems excited about the classes and activities. For the classes they are struggling in the teachers have completely placed all the teaching and work into the parents and child through homework. No help from the teachers with just criticism on how you and the child are failing at everything and sent emails from these teachers stating such daily. With the short time being in this school and the consistent issues the school is having with how the we are teaching our children as they do not. We will be pulling the kids as soon as we can for a school that actually teaches.

There is hours of homework every night. Youre lucky if you get a teacher that doesnt constantly yell at or bully the kids. If you bring an issue to the principal it isnt resolved and the teachers are allowed to lie and make excuses. They dont put the kids safety first and dont hold teachers accountable. A teacher physically hurt my child and was allowed to keep doing it and after informing them it happened a second time they didnt speak to the teacher and allowed it to happen a few more times.
The teacher turnover rate is extremely high and many leave mid year workout even saying bye to the students. It doesnt have a lunch program or a real playground area and they constantly harass you to give them more money. They rarely have field trips or opportunities for parents to volunteer except for the lunch program which they should be paying people to do instead of making parents do it. They make 4th graders use lockers and find their class on their own and mark them tardy if they dont get to class in only 5 minutes.

My son is in 1st grade and spends approximately 10-15 minutes a night on homework and 15-20 minutes of reading. The homework is Math and English. The homework is reinforcing concepts that they have already covered in school. It gives me the opportunity to see what he is understanding and what he needs extra support on. The reading is something we would do anyway just before bedtime, and he loves picking out a book each night.

We have really loved all of the Kindergarten and 1st grade teachers! They are very creative with their lessons, which keeps the kids engaged. They also make things very interactive with songs, chants, and games so that the kids are playing while learning. The

The school has a PRIDE program that recognizes students for exhibiting great character. Positivity, Respect, Integrity, Discipline, and Effort are the categories that make up PRIDE. The kids love getting rewarded for setting a good example!

We like the leadership model because there is a Head of School that is focused on the education side like curriculum, teacher development, and providing student support. Then there is a Head of Operations that focuses on the business side of things like budget, property maintenance, after school activities.

We haven't needed extra support, but the school has Special Education Teachers on Campus, offers student hours for kids to get additional support from their teachers, intervention work from the teachers and Deans, and parent/teacher hours available to meet and discuss support that a child needs. In older grades, they also have peer tutoring.

My son seems to be friends with basically everyone in his grade. When we ask him if anyone is mean, he says "No, that is a silly question." But there was another student that kept touching his food during lunch. Our son has food allergies, so we considered this a safety issue. We reported it, and the school took care of it right away.

We have had an exceptional experience at this school. The kids work hard and play hard. Our son especially loves having PE daily and three recesses! He likes Mandarin so much that he wants to go to China for vacation. We love the specials at this school....music, art, theater, engineering, and a very cool class called connections that pulls all the curriculum together. We also like the fact that the school is very multicultural. It has great after school activities and events too.
