I just graduated and I'm so glad I went here. The teachers actually cared and made class fun, which is rare lol. Sports were the best part for me. I made some of my closest friends on the team. I also really liked the engineering classes, like building stuff and figuring out how things work. I'm not gonna go into engineering or anything but I still had a blast doing it. Would 100% recommend this place.

Highland Prep West is a great school that provided me the help I needed to be successful going into high school. Being a smaller high school I was able to get to know my teachers and it was easy to make friends. I was nervous going into high school and HPW made the transition easy.

I just graduated from Highland Prep West and honestly Im really glad I went there. The classes could be tough sometimes, but the teachers actually cared and wanted everyone to succeed. Since the school is smaller, it was easier to make friends and know your teachers better. Overall, I feel way more prepared for college after going here.

I wasnt sure what to expect when I started at HPW, but it has been better than I thought. The classes are more serious than my old school, and the teachers dont really let you slack off. That was annoying at first, but now I get it. Ive learned better habits here. The school is still building some traditions, but that actually makes it kind of fun because students get to be part of creating them.

Would not recommend this school to anyone! Teachers are very disrespectful to students and nobody does nothing about it not even the principal. Any event with a teacher and students gets swept under the rug like if nothing happened. Also if your student plans on playing sports for this school they better be a favorite or they will be given no play time at games. Honestly this school and the way they run it is a joke.

Like the other review said, I was excited to start a new school, but I was only met with disappointment. The principal is rude to parents, and the front desk staff are dismissive and rude to students. The new algebra teacher is less than helpful and suggested that students request a schedule change if they dont like him, even though they dont allow schedule changes. When school started, they didnt set up my school accounts for four days, despite me asking every day. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this school.

I'm absolutely thrilled with Highland Prep West! The teachers are passionate and dedicated, and it's clear they genuinely care about each student's growth. Their strong emphasis on STEM and college prep provides students with a head start towards their future, unlike other high schools.

This school doesnt just fail students academically it fails them emotionally. If your child isnt one of the favorites, theyre on their own. Bullying is brushed off. Students get laughed at, targeted, and emotionally broken down by both peers and the system thats supposed to protect them. And the worst part? When they finally speak up, theyre the ones who get in trouble. The environment isnt supportive its damaging. I walked in excited for a new start and walked out with anxiety, trust issues, and trauma. Please dont let your child become another silent victim. Ask the students how it really is not just the ones they parade for promotion.
