Great school with great teachers. All the kids I've interacted with at this school are kind, caring, and well-behaved. I haven't heard of any bullying incidents from my daughter in her almost 4 years of going there, and she tells me all about her days in detail, so if there was something going on I would know. The staff at this school make me feel welcome there and I enjoy visiting the campus.

Our first year was amazing. Looked forward to many years here however second year was ok third and fourth year were just horrible for my child . My child’s needs were ignored and my child was questioned about personal family life that had nothing to do with school. It’s a shame because my husband and I went to this school with open hearts , mind and trust in the Lord and the Lord showed us that it was not the school they portrayed it to be.

It is more of a popularity action and how much time you can donate to the school if your a full time working parents then your not even acknowledged

Did not support my child’s needs in anyway.

The school structure and education has grown so much over the years. I have sent all four of my children through the elementary school and they will finish high school at Foothills High school (by their choice). The campus is very clean and well kept, the student to teacher ratio is wonderful as there are two monitors in each room as well. It has been a financial challenge to have the kids in private school, but I know parents who would gladly pay twice as much to not have the problems they did with public school. Me and my wife consider it an investment in their and our future. The three days in school and two days home schooling work well also. It is fun to actually help your child learn, plus if you want to do a family thing, Friday and Monday are still options..... I close with this thought, if my kids are willing when the time comes. We would even be willing to pay for my grandchildren to go the Foothills schooling program, even if I have to keep working....

It sounds like parents are happier with the Elementary. But the Jr High seems to be different. There needs to be separate reviews. My kids went to both schools. I believe the younger grades are fine, but once 6th grade starts, the quality of the curriculum changes. I saw my kids loose interest in school. The work became only focused on reading, memorizing, and taking test. The 7th & especially the 8th grades are the worst. I would have taken my kids out, but I unwisely put their social life before academics. By keeping them there, they learned to hate school. School was, boring , forced , and no fun . Kids complain at this age about school. However, because I had to become very familiar with the school work on Mon. and Fri., I agreed with them. I was bored, felt forced, & lost interest in the subjects. Where were the group projects, experiments, life applications, & the spice my friends were talking about in their kids schools. I would give the elementary 4 , but I would give the Jr. High 1 for academics. If the grading was only on the spiritual aspect of the school, I would give it 4 . I loved the teachers but not their choice of school material. Hope this helps.

After many years of sending our children to public schools, we prayerfully made the switch to Foothills, and we are very happy with our decision. This unique school model, with 3 days on campus, and 2 days of homeschooling, provides a calmer, more balanced school week for our family. It also allows us as parents to be more actively involved and aware of what our kids are learning. There is great comfort in knowing that our kids are being taught from a biblical worldview in all subjects from loving, caring, Christian teachers and staff who share our faih and values. There are so many invaluable reasons to partner with Foothills, especially during the teen years. This is an excellent, more affordable private schooling option with quality curriculum. Thank you Foothills Christian Schools! You truly are a blessing to our family and the East County community!

Evaluation: 6th-8th Grades Spiritually=Good Academics= Extremely POOR!!!! Old fasion, very traditional, immensely boring curriculum, tons of extra credit is given to make up for failing grades due to the curriculum, intense amount of homework- most of it is filler work. Teachers= Extremely nice Students= About the same as others schools but very few students with behavior challenges. Principle=Extremely friendly but set in her ways, not open to parent suggestions

The Jr. High is filled with sweet teachers and respectful students. I loved both of these aspects about this school. However the curriculum they use, Bob Jones, is extremely traditional offering only reading, memorizing, and answering questions day after day after day. I liked the fact that the curriculum focuses on God, but through my experience with it I believe solid learning does NOT take place. If your child is a passionate reader, then they should do fine. But if your child enjoys a variety of activities and learning, then they might find this school very boring, mundane, and frustrating. There are so many other Christian curriculums out there that offer a variety of learning. Unfortunately, the administration is not willing to hear parent concerns regarding this matter.

I love this school. It changed my life and now I follow the Lord more than I did at my other private school

We like the flexible schedule, daily devotions, and student/teacher ratio.
