My son has been attending this school this past year and we have nothing but great things to say. The admin team is great, Mrs. Osugi and Mr. Simon have helped turn this school around. They have free tutoring after school and teachers open their doors in the morning for extra help. There are so many elective options, advanced courses, and a full fledged Dual Language program 6th through 8th grade. My son and I are very pleased with this school and I would recommend it to other parents.

My daughter loves this school. It has really turned around this year. There are so many Elective courses to choose from and there is free after school tutoring if anyone needs help. The music program is award winning, highly recommend.

honestly this school is not it. there is so many issues with bullying, drugs, fights, and the teachers do nothing about it. the teachers only care about money and pay and don’t really care about how the kids feel about it. they assign so much unnecessary work. they don’t teach about real history either which is a huge problem.

The worst year of my life was at this school, and I am almost finished with highschool now. I have been to many school districts but this one by far was the worst.

Students don't really get homework, and if they do it's super simple

Posted: May 28, 2020

The teachers only care about making money. The majority didn't show concern for the students actually learning, and were all low effort.

Posted: May 28, 2020

If anything the school's culture develops poor character in its students. Students there have little passion or interest, for the school and eachother.

Posted: May 28, 2020

The students there are out of control. None of them care about being there or learning, and they disrespect the teachers constantly. Fights are also a constant issue, along with drugs and bullying.

Posted: May 28, 2020

The school actually forces it's special ed students to pick up trash, and they treat them very poorly. The special ed students are neglected and ignored by the faculty and the students there too.

Posted: May 28, 2020

Bullying is a severe issue at this school, and it's students are terrible to eachother. The teachers also don't properly respond to situations in any way.

There was a time where I was sitting at lunch and the boys thought it was funny to throw food, marbles, deodorant, footballs, etc. The lunch staff was standing around and watching this and all she did was ask them twice to stop without punishing them. And they didn't stop, and when I begged her to make them stop she yelled: "Don't tell me how to do my job!" the same lunch staff lady went around telling students that I'm trying to get her fired which when I told the school this. She eventually did, thank god. when a kid threw his deodorant at me for the second time I took and refused to give it back, then the lunch staff lady told me to give it back but never punished them. I started eating in the bathroom. I went and told Mrs. Stroud, so she surprisingly gave some of the boys a couple days of detention. But wouldn't you think they would at least get a week of detention for making me want to die? They would all also call me fat, ugly, and a prostitute. And I began to not even fight back in hopes of this stopping so my last chance of peace at all was to get an adult to help of course. Most of the teachers would cuss, call me out for having ADD, and single me out in front of the whole class. Even If I did cause a ruckus, do you think appropriate behavior? I knew a poor child who had lost his mother, and the kids would bully him about it! And for the rest of the year of me being there, the bullying continued. When I moved on to a new school my math teacher was shocked with the way they tried to teach me math. She said any school program who uses the math program ALEX is signing their students up for instant failure. The program makes it easy for kids to cheat on tests and other ways without learning a drop, and it has insignificant teaching methods. Which is why I retook pre-algebra a 2nd time! There was one time where I forgot to get my phone back from the office, rushed up, but the staff lady said I can get it tomorrow. I got scared because I was about to miss my bus which was running late and I needed my phone. So the Staff lady took her sweet 10 minutes to take my phone of the drawer I stood next to, yes I missed my bus even though they promised that wouldn't happen! I ended up getting a Saturday school because the counselor advised me not to? :/ they threatened that If I told my parents the truth I would be punished further.
