Great experience at VC Primary school. I have had 2 children in this school and only have one teacher we did not care for. The Principal is very accommodating.

This school is horrible. Let first start off by saying that the principal from the 2014-2015 left this school for a reason. I can only imagine why he had to go given all the devious things that occurred and rude treatment i received throughout the school year. Second of all many times i brought up issues regarding my child's academic performance and they did not seem to be taken serious until the very end of the school year when it was to late. On many occasions the administrative staff including the secretary and the school attendance clerk were very rude and disrespectful to me. It was completely unprofessional. I've have brought this up to the principal but he refused to do anything. I will also add that it was extremely difficult to get a meeting with him. I will give him some credit that he did make sure to get back to me even if it took a week or two. However, it seems to me that the parents and children who go to the school should come first before anything. Either his hands are tied due to administrative politics or he doesn't care but either way it is unacceptable for parents that need important issues addressed. Be careful of bringing your child/children to this school since everyone including the teachers will look out for themselves and even lie in the process to save their own jobs and your child does not seem to be their priority. In the end your child or children are going to be the ones paying the hefty price for this schools problems.

Very unhappy and unsatisfied with this school, my child has special needs, but this school only focus on what they want to do, not on what my child really needs. I don't recommend this school for children with special needs.

My daughter is in the bilingual program and we couldn't be happier with her experience. She loves school and comes home singing songs in Spanish. She is reading well above kindergarten level and can read so e in Spanish too.

I have had a pleasant experience with this school, staff and volunteers. It is unfortunate that due to budget restraints, many positions have had to be cut. The principal makes herself available to parents and the teachers are open for questions and parent involvement.

Sadly, the school suffers because of the administration. The principal has issues not conducive to being a principal. She has a temper and is known to be controlling and does not have good rapport with all parents and teachers. That being said, there are several outstanding teachers at each grade level. In speaking with these teachers, their primary disappointment is the principal and her temper. They do not fully and freely communicate with the principal because she will hold grudges and make things difficult for her staff.

I have lived in Valley Center for 12 years because of the quality of the schools here. There's no where else I want my 4 children to be raised. I have one graduating high school, one in middle school and two at the primary. I also LOVE the fact that they provide free bus transportation, unlike most other schools in San Diego County. The teachers listen to parental concerns and you can tell that they actually care & enjoy teaching. They are some of the BEST teachers and I couldn't have been happier with them. It takes a village definitely holds true here in VC.
