I am extremely disappointed with Vista School. My son worked very hard throughout the school year and earned an honors award for maintaining a high GPA. Unfortunately, when the awards were distributed, he was overlooked and did not receive the medal and recognition he had earned.

As a parent, this was also extremely disappointing and upsetting for me. I watched my son put in the effort to achieve academic success, only to have his accomplishment overlooked during a moment that should have celebrated his hard work. Recognition ceremonies are important milestones for students and their families, and this experience took away from what should have been a proud and memorable occasion.

Schools should have procedures in place to ensure that every student’s achievements are accurately recognized. I hope Vista School takes this matter seriously, acknowledges the mistake, and takes steps to prevent other students and families from experiencing the same disappointment in the future.

I like to say to the parent that post a review on February,28,2023. That I know what they are talking about they do a paper call it safety plan. It's a joke. And they pinalize you if you try to talk to other parents. I talk to the district and nothing has being done. The bullying and the fights are almost daily. And the stuff, except for a selected few , do nothing about this. Then they try to cover it up. Making up stories. I think what is left is to eather talk to our Congress representative. Or the board of education. If in need maybe any one out there that is suffering of these please contact me. Together we can make the change happens. Here it is, hopping they won't delete my information , five, six, two, three, three, four, zero , nine, nine , four. Reach out. Let make our voice, our children's voice heard.

This school needs to be reviewed. Bullying is accepted in this school, they won't do anything until the parents get into conflicts and then they clean their hands once the parents take it upon themselves to stop the bullying! The principal is a person who does not do her job or take the safety of the kids seriously, I would like to speak to someone in the district asap, I am at a point where making it viral that this school is horrible is a must!

Lots of improvement at Vista. Some issues still exist but academically the school is making big steps. Lots of extra programs - teachers work their butts off to help the kids. Lots of pizza too. Probably too much if you ask me.

This is a great school !!!!!! The staff and teachers are all like family. They offer many volunteer opportunities. The school really emphasizes on the character counts pillars, which is really important in life. I would recommend this school to many students. The school is well involved with the parents and the students. I've seen that they offer classes for the parents which is really good. They teach English and other classes for parents to work with/ understand their children. The school really works on educating the children about college. I am a volunteer and I love how they welcome you. Everyone is so nice. The office ladies are super nice and always helpful. I enjoy helping at the school.

Okay so i saw all the comments and i have to say this school is awesome it helps students who want to learn...If they want to learn they will learn!..I am an 8th grader my teachers help all students they teach us but if the sutudent doesnt want to learn how do they help him or her. I mean some students dont want to learn and we cant help them if they cant help themselves....If they want to learn they can learn...if they try they will succed... About fights students dont get picked on...sure if you want a fight you'll find one.....its not like out of the blue you'll get punched....ITS ALL ABOUT THE STUDENT...Bullying hmm well i haven't been bullied only called short but i didn't take it personally. The staff talks to us about bullying and its definition...I haven't seen anyone get bullied... If you do get bullied there are people to help you...
At school when a new student arrives they are welcomed, included and important.
This is a good school and sure it will have flaws but what school can be perfect...JUST REMEMBER DON'T LOOK FOR TROUBLE AND DON'T CAUSE IT...FIND HELP AND YOU WILL LEARN

Sincerely
Current 8th grader

There is a good reason this is a 1/10 school!
If I could, I would rate this school a BIG FAT 0 !!!
Kid was being bullied for over 6 month, school did nothing to help. IEP not followed. Even though special education teachers are nice, it is not enough to say ANYTHING good about this "dump" of a school.

From my kid: Worst school ever- they teach you nothing, lots of bullying, dean or conselors or AP does nothing to keep all the kids SAFE!!!!Students don't care about ANYTHING, lots of fights, many times got beaten up. Apparently, cursing is absolutely fine and drugs are often brought to school ( even if its a prank). And the administration is apparently ok with it or refuses to investigate anything.

If you are looking for at least "descent" education ( again, I am not even sayin "superb"), this isn't the school for you. So, Please Please Please, do yourself a favor- and make sure you are making an informed decision before placing your child( especially a kid with special needs in this school. Will not prepare you for high school, let alone college.

So glad we got out!
