Even a high school teacher here didn't keep her own kids in the school and transferred them out. When the people working on the inside won't send their own children here, that tells you everything you need to know. Look elsewhere.

Our daughters attended High School at the Rock Academy and loved it! They learned to be themselves, make friends, and were properly equipped for the College and career of their choice (Attorney, RN, Educator). The relationships with their teachers were perhaps the greatest part of their Rock Academy education experience. We cannot recommend this school enough!

My children have been at the Rock Academy since preschool. They are currently in 5th and 7th grades. They are both thriving at school. They are learning and growing. Their teachers know them and care about them . They love their friends and teachers. The teachers are very responsive, and communicate with me well. I am so thankful for the many incredible teachers who have poured into my kids' lives over the past 10 years.

Bringing my daughter to The Rock Academy was by far the best decision I could make in her life.
Not only has she been an absolute rockstar in her studies, but her relationship with God is the most beautiful part of it all.
She has completed 6/7/8th grades already and is currently in 9th grade.
Every single teacher here shows that they actually care.
This isn’t just another job for them, it’s their place to display their passion !
I have recommended and will continue to always recommend The Rock Academy to every single person I encounter.
Ps, we have a baby due in February 2026…. When she’s at the age… she will be at the Rock Academy all of her school years !

Our daughter has been at The Rock Academy for the past four years, and we couldn’t be happier! She has made great friends. She has grown academically, emotionally and spiritually! Teachers and faculty are amazing, they know our kids by name they care for them and are always ready to support and love on them!
The community of parents and families are incredible, sports are competitive and coaches are excellent!
We love the rock academy!

As a parent, this school has been a community, and is more than we could ask for or imagine. My three boys are known and loved, and pushed to grow as learners and as people. The academics have remained kinesthetic and innovative, with many opportunities to explore STEAM, Performing Arts, and Athletics in and beyond the classroom. The teachers and Administration are approachable and communicative. When we worked through a concern, the entire staff was involved, had a plan, and communicated well with our family. The best part was that we as parents met together with the parents of the other kids involved the next day, and talked and prayed together about how we would all reinforce the same things at home. That is where the importance of community really shown, and we are so thankful! We know our boys are in incredible hands and we as parents feel partnered with!

I have children that attended the Rock from elementary through high school. We have had a great experience with the school. The teachers are not only excellent academic instructors, but they care about the students. Since the student body is small than that allows more contact with the teachers. The smaller student body makes it difficult to piece together sports teams. If you want a school where the goal is to have a godly atmosphere as well as superior academic standards, then this is your school.

I am an alum here. The Rock Academy was great until the new administration stepped in when I was about to graduate. A lot of students left because of that. I see one of the reviews here saying that some graduates from the Rock go to Dartmouth and Cal, but this is partially incorrect. No one has ever gone to Cal. I got lucky and currently go to a well-know school, but I honestly feel like the Rock has not prepared me well academically as I am struggling in college. However, I shall point out that some of the teachers here are excellent-- some teachers and admin staff are not. Overall, I have a mixed feeling about my alma mater.

This school is honestly the nicest school ive ever stepped into, in both ways. The staff and kids are so helpful and positive, and the campus is small but homely. I love the help they give literally every student to ensure a fantastic education. The only thing they could improve on is connecting the church to the school more. Also, the library is barely used as a library and I love to read on my downtime as a student.

The Principal and Student body at this school are the worst. They lack people skills, they bully and have major attitude. If you want to go to a school full of bully's from 6th grade on, then, this is your school. Your child will not be safe at this school.

THE BEST PRIVATE SCHOOL IN THE COUNTY. My children have attended Horizon Christian Academy, Francis Parker, and Torrey Pines High School. When The Rock Academy opened it's doors for the High School I had to give it try, and ever since I have not looked back. Their faith based college prep courses, championship athletics, and elite performing arts are bar none. Let me put it this way, two of my son's best friends graduated last year from The Rock Academy and are attending Dartmouth College and Cal Berkeley... They both have straight A's and are setting the curve in every class. Whether you are Christian or not, the morals and principal's that this school instills in its students of integrity, honesty, loyalty, and hard work, are what is good in society today. It is comforting to know that there are still academic institutions out there such as The Rock that are building tomorrow s leaders.

We have been at The Rock Academy for two years. The teachers are great and the academics are EXCELLENT! The admin people are great as well and they are tight on security. My children are ahead of other children we know around their age group. I highly recommend this school to parents.
