Great community school! It may not be the best school, but my kids feel safe and always excited to go. They are encouraged to go to school everyday and taught to be responsible, safe and good citizens. Since it's not a big school, it's easy to connect with the teachers and they are more focused.

It's a plus that my kids are in the gifted program.

My son is in special ed class the teacher is very helpful and nice. What I don’t like is the office staff they are so unprofessional and very rude. I get humiliated inside the office I feel like I am one of the student that they are scolding of. Please train or educate your staff. Teach them to be respectful and it should begins within the school. Again the staff are soooo TERRIBLE!

This is the second year that my child has attended school at Caroldale. Previously she went to a school north of the 405 in Carson. Let me tell you it has been a drastic improvement! Here there is a positive learning environment, and the children appear happy given the state of the world. The teachers are satisfactory, as is the principal. My daughter adored the Halloween fun! It reminded me of Halloween during my youth. Such a good experience for a child's imagination!

The only problem with this school is the presence of middle school students at Caroldale. These children have started puberty. I must say it troubles me that they are on the same campus as my daughter. It just doesn't make sense! I have seen inappropriate behavior (in a sexual manner) on the part of these teenagers. Besides, I know for a fact that many of the elementary teachers resent having a middle school here, probably for the reasons I previously mentioned. It is only a matter of time before something disgraceful happens to a younger child here. I'm not the only parent here that feels that way either.

I recommend the elementary school. The middle school here NO WAY!! With social media and all the other bad influence these adolescents are exposed to, well can you see how I'm troubled?

I have had 3 boys enrolled to this school for the last six years. They are very happy and have many friends. Teachers all very nice and have different styles of teaching which is good.

Trying to enroll my son and apparently the principal decides to take a leave of absence right before the end of the year. Since I am applying for a permit no one can help till she is back. Very disappointed how every time I call they keep putting me off. After seeing the reviews it looks like they did me a favor.

My daughter is in Middle school and has come home over the last few weeks talking about all the bullying that has going on at Caroldale. She says all the middle school assistant principal do is bench kids and that's it. She even talks about how the teachers talk to the students when they are in class. The kicker is when she came home last Tuesday talking about the fight at park right after school. I may consider removing her out of the school at the end of the year. This is getting to be too much!

Amazing, my child was very pleased. The staff and teachers are both hardworking and kind to give our children a better education and experience. Hardly no bullies, and is next to a park. It useful that it is a elementary and a middle school. They have a variety of electives. I as a parent would recomend this school to anyone.

The teacher are great. They really care about the students. This school teaches a large range of subjects . Creative writing, sign language, leadership, drama, ect. Your child can get more learning from this school , then an average middle school. When your child starts high school , they are more than ready. I have had three kids to graduate from this school. I just wish the Los Angeles School District would just provide them with more funding.

GREAT Kinder teachers and Principal, but Horrible system of operations. Every morning is a fire hazard at the gates, and office staff is dumb-founded! Nurse is only 1 x a week. My child fell leaving bruises and a bump on his head... i was NOT informed by ANYONE! I wrote a letter and then, started being informed. ReceiveD telemarketing calls so often that, IF there was an emergency there was no sense of urgency bc of the frequent, annoying calls. My child was "Allowed" to leave TWICE with a relative I gave No prior notice to. I was livid and frantic both times! The pick-up system of operation is a joke! Too much traffic, not enough parking. A LOT of stress on tHAT hard working crossing guard who seems to put his life at stakes every morning and afternoon. School wasnt designed to occupy that many students! Needs to be more organized and rebuilt to fullfill student needs. A safe, supervised, child drop off zone would be efficent.) Kids shouldnt have to "run track" and play on hard concrete either! Too many injuries! Please, fix these issues.
Thank you.

Worse school I could have chosen for my son I would recommend choosing different school to over crowded having elementary and middle school together the staff and teachers are to stressed out they have a no care attitude

This has been a great school since 2 of my children graduated with honors two years ago. However, with the change in management, particularly the Principal, I honestly believe and see that things haven't been the same and the quality of teaching has not improved. I agree with the other parent that bullying is definitely tolerated here, contrary to what the school is propagating. Hopefully things will get better soon, so us parents will have peace of mind that our children are being taught well in a peaceful and conducive environment.

My daughter has been going her for the past three years.i think the school is great.Mr.Brooks is a awesome principle .He's always there interacting with the kids. Also the staff for the after school program are very hands on & helpful.

The school is decent, nothing special, your typical somewhat average US school. What else can you expect.. I have a compaint about one of their staff member/employees needing training on how to deal with people. One of the crossing guards is so rude. He talks down on people, even an innocent pedestrian, and knows how to ruin your day. He needs to be beter trained on how to deal with the public. Other than how chaotic the morning dropoff is since there's no formal designated parking lot dropoff area, it's an okay school...

The school is fine and the teacher are ok but their office staff is TERRIABLE. They are rude and unprofessional. For example when I was in there taking care of a problem they didn't want to help with , I overheard one of the office staff members taking a call about a complaint about themselves as she was taking the call she proceeded to lean over and talk about the caller to the women sitting next to her as the caller was still on the line. this school really needs to getter a better office staff with work ethic.

I am a student at this school. I am in 4th grade and my teacher is Ms. Terrill. She teaches me new things each and every day!
