We were very excited to enroll our kids into the school year 2024-2025. The school is clean and located in a quiet neighborhood. It is a magnet distinguished school. Most of tbe staff in the office are nice. Mr. Milton is who is truly kind and helpful over the phone and in office.
The school is not holisitc. Their main focus is academics. They remind children to be kind and respectful but it is not put into action. By listening to my child, other students and parents, there is exclusion happening in the school.
Teachers are not teaching adequetly. My child who is struggling tells me how her day to day is and from what it sounds the teacher teaches from her seat and through i-ready. To be fair, and the reason I give 3 stars and not less is Mrs. Bello! She is a wonderful and amazing person and teacher!
Gledhill street elementary school would benefit from having more teachers who care more about their students' education and who they will become as a person in this world.

this school has completely lost it's way and it is so sad to hear my daughter come home daily and tell me the goings on. students misbehaving and fighting with no discipline, special needs children running rampant all over campus because the aides are tired of being run ragged so they quit, and really good, hard working teachers just seeming to be drained. administration post-2021 has been abhorrent and I thank god my daughter will be going to middle school. she loves her teacher and her past teachers but she says she feels that the principal and other adminstration is letting the bad kids get away with trouble. she feels unsafe and that eats at me as a parent, and whose older kids had a great experience when principal Bueno was in charge.

I have always felt welcomed at this school, since day one with my oldest attending this school in 2nd grade. She is currently now a 9th grader but all her siblings attend this school as well. With a 1st, 4th and 5th grader who currently attend, I could not feel more happier, safe and appreciative, of all the hard work the teachers and staff do, to help our students succeed and be ready for this rapidly changing world. I 100% recommended this school to friends and family and I would recommend it to you. Give this school an opportunity to show you what a collaborative team can do!

I was surprised when I found this Gem of a school nestled in this quiet neighborhood. The staff is friend, polite and always there to help when you need it. There is a great group of parent volunteers that help to make the activities at the school fund and exciting for the students, families and communities. I feel by child is in a safe and learning environment. There are some special needs classes and the staff is so patient with the students even when they are not listening. The Magnet program is top notch with the VEX Robotics starting up. So excited to see where the Administrative staff takes this school in the coming years. Would highly recommend Gledhill to anyone looking for a great school for their child to attend.

The former principal seemed to have a great grasp on discipline and student achievement. It seems as if the new principal (for the 2022 school year) is just letting the students run wild while showing little support for the teachers. My child in a lower grade class constantly tells me of the horrid behaviors going on and little being done about it.

It's our first year on this school and the approach on the kids homework really can be compared to a private school or way better.

Being our first year here in this school I had seen that this school has a bright future ahead of it. With the good leadership of its administrators I see that they are really looking after the kids needs specially in Math , Sciences & reading. They are pretty looking after as well of the kids behavior so good values will be instilled in them. I like as well how they listen to the parents concern. The only thing I noticed here are parents participation on the school projects. Hopefully on the next school year there would be more parents who will be involve in the school activities.

I personally went to this school myself, I'm now In high school 11th grade to be exact I have. 4.0 next year I'm applying to a university. this school was a wonderful experience for me as a child I made a lot of good lifelong friends who I keep in touch with to this day in fact both of my current best friends went to gledhill with me I think it's been 11 years since we have been friends. The teachers always showed compassion and in fact when I needed to do my community service for 8th grade (mandatory to graduate) I came back to Holmes to give back to the community that gave me the childhood I know and love, in fact even without the school giving me mandatory community service I would have found any excuses to go back and visit my old teachers and after school coaches. Mostly because I was a rebel in elementary school the kind of kid with bad grades and I wanted to show my teachers that their constant compassion paid off. I know that this school only has 4 stars but I give it 5 any child that works hard and gives it their best well do great in this school and make lifelong memories too. And if you teach at gledhill feel blessed and know your work truly counts a lifetime here,

This is a nice and friendly neighborhood school. My son's teacher is great and the Principal, Mr. Dyen greets the kids in front of the school when they arrive in the morning. I feel that the staff cares and I like how seriously the Principal takes safety issues.

My son is finishing up his second year of preschool. His teacher, Miss Ashley, has been AMAZING!!!! She really takes in interest in her students. My son had an IEP for speech therapy. He is now tested out. She really has gone above and beyond! The two aides (Miss A. and Miss Carla) have also been amazing. I just hope my son's teacher for kinder is as amazing as she is.
