I am currently a junior at SDEMC. I like that the school is small, no real bad influence and bullying isn't really a thing. The workload is demanding because teachers actually teach and don't just give kids worksheets. The counselor is excellent.

I've gone to SDEMC for the past four years. I really love this school because of the teachers. They actually care about students learning. They tutor you after class and make the lessons interesting. In your senior and junior years, you can take college classes when you take high school classes so long as you have a good GPA. The small classes are really great because you can always ask for help compared to larger schools. I would recommend this school to anyone that wants a good education.

SDEMC is a great school because it allows you to express yourself in any type of way without judgement. It also gives you a chance to connect to your teachers because its a small school. Classes and teachers push you, force you think critically, and teach more than the regular curriculum. I feel like the school is really getting me ready for college. They don't treat you like a child--they allow students to demonstrate individual responsibility.

I'm an SDEMC Alumni and all I can say is that attending SDEMC has been one of the best choices I've made. It's a small school with small class sizes that allow students to receive the attention they need in order to succeed. But what's even greater than that is the teachers and staff there. They go above beyond their job descriptions to help students with their studies and it's such a wonderful feeling to know that they care so much about you and your education. I loved my years at SDEMC because I made friends that are more family than friends now and I just think SDEMC changes lives. It is definitely a Great choice of High School!

I am a student here. I like this school a lot, but I must admit that it all depends on what you make of it. The work can be hard at times but help is never far away. The small size of the school helps with getting to know your teachers and peers on a personal level, but expect a lot of goofiness along side the work. ASB always makes an effort to make the most fun or anticipated events happen. Mr.Boutelle is the greatest counselor and goes out of his way to get to know everyone and do whatever he can to make your experience worth it. You will have freedom, flexibility, all the intellectual growth you can ever want, and whole lot of fun!

My daughter was bullied and failing at a nearby High School and could not wait to be age eligible to drop out of school. When she stared SDEMCH she has done a complete turnaround; with behavior and GPA, it wonderful to see that she is looking forward to attending college. A smaller setting was a perfect fit for her.
