As a Will Rogers student there some good things About this school and there are bad things, like the fact that the teacher's at this school have some of the most crazies, rudest attitudes, like the Computer and 6th grade math teacher (not all of them) has the worst attitudes ever and they are very hard to approach and when you do, they don't seem that Interested or Appreciated when you asked a question. Also this school is so strict on the bathroom policy it's so messed up that we need a bathroom pass just to empty out our bladder especially when middle school is when your body is changing from a kid to a teenager (especially the girls) so it's important to use the restroom when you need to and you shouldn't need to have a bathroom pass at all. Like I said earlier there are some good things at this school like the fact that they have a lot of after school activities that let us (students) express our likings and hobbies. Also this school has a class that focuses on students leadership qualities and helps shyness into something more than just anxiety. They also make and plan school activities (mostly during lunch). These activities mostly focuses on common problems like the challenges of starting 6 grade, drugs, climate change, mental health, etc... and fun things like, red ribbon week, spirt week,Earth week, etc... Yes each school has bad and good things to everything they do, but if we all come together we can change things for the better and make Will Rogers Middle School a safe, happy learning environment. Thank you for your time reading this lengthy paragraph and have a great day/night!

The kids at this school are only give 6 bathroom passes and are not considerate of children transitioning into teenagers. Meaning female toiletries. Horrendous and forget about dropping off your kids on time. Parents fight infront of children because they dont want to let other vehicles pass afraid of being cut off. Running over kids parents getting into physical fights. Theres an elementary school right next to this school and the times are just so inconvenient since it creates all sorts of traffic jams principals dont care and neither does the district.

This school do not care about African Americans at all. The principal Ms. Leigh will defend her staff before caring for your child. I am speaking from experience.

My Daughter Had a Horrible Experience at Will Rogers She and another little Girl had Suicidal Thoughts, The teachers are letting the teenagers form a Subgroup of Emo kids. I know there is a mental Health Crisis but I'm changing my daughter's district, After finding out that there are other kids that went through the same experience a year prior its looks like there's a pattern there and I didnt want my daughter to follow

This is a complete lie. All students do here is bully and harrass other students. The staff does nothing.

Very good experience overall in this school environment.

Not much homework given to students to take home daily.

Posted: August 14, 2018

Little follow up on issues which may effect the students later in the year.

Currently I am a 2013 alumni. This school is not involved and not intrested in helping the students academically. Fights happen a lot after school and they're not taken care of. Counselors and school adminstrators don't do a good job when it comes to addressing them. Bullying does happen a lot here and it's not being taken care of. Teachers don't teach good and blame the students anyway when they're trying. Do not come here since it is unsafe and not a good learning environment to be in.

The teachers are not very involved and some of them have really bad attitudes. I had a fellow classmate tell me that one of the teachers is racist and when I ended up having that teacher for my 8th period, she didn't like me. Another thing is that the teachers do not teach good and they blame us for not having a good work ethetic. One of my teachers from 8th grade would tell my parents that I do not have a good work ethetic when the truth is that I don't understand anything she taught us. The teachers here also don't care about bullying.

This is a terrible school. Security turns a blind eye to bullying & inappropriate clothing. SOME of the teachers exhibit bully-like behavior and are unapproachable. PE teacher sits in his office and has a student lead the class. The principal is a joke. She is rarely available, my children have never seen her walking the corridors. I can't think of a redeeming quality. We are moving out of district to avoid sending our children there.

This is the only public middle school where I have seen them trying to get the kids involved with STEM. Theirs extra curricular science programs are spectacular!

I am currently a student at RMS and I love it here! All the teachers bring fun and laughter to learning, especially the after school programs like robotics and science Olympiad that not only bring fun competition but make us think about what is going around in our world and what we could do to fix problems. In the 6th grade I was in Berkeley last year I was in Stanford and this year I'm in Georgetown I love all my teachers so much ! Sometimes it is hard to find a favorite teacher but my avid teacher this year is by far my favorite she is always there for me and all her students even for kids she doesn't have whenever I need to talk she listens and gives me great advise I'm gonna miss her so much!:( so if you are a parent reading this send your child to will roger middle school not Jane adams
