The teachers are very dedicated, if you ask them for help they give it to you, the Spanish teacher is very good, the school is small and the staff knows the children, and the children know each other, my children are happy. And withe new garden class.

They care! It's a small school and I love it! They continue to make improvements. P.E. and Spanish class and lots of hands on activities AND they have a garden!

Love this school! The principal is awesome. The kids love the garden and the small school environment. Ask for a tour and check them out!

My daughter attended this school years ago and now my son is a student. I am very happy with the quality of education my son is receiving. He is well advanced for a first grader. The school provides great resources for parents and students and the teachers are great. The director is so proactive and all the staff is highly involved in making this school even better. Parents be ready to take an active role in your child's education because this school is great but it needs the participation of parents. It is more demanding than your average school but it is worth it. Great school for sure!

I have two children at LDV and I would not take them anywhere else. The principal listens to the parents and students, the children are taught to be respectful and responsible. The teachers love their students and it shows. Overall I would recommend LDVCS to anyone that would like a private schoool like education.

The school does not require much homework so that the children and parents may spend quality time together. We have 20 min of reading a day that is required and if the kids don’t finish work at home they just have to finish that! It’s great!

I am not sure about this yet since my kids have not been bullied to the point of not being able to stand up for themselves. They know to tell the teacher if another student has been misbehaving towards them and so far it's been handled the way I'd expect.

Last year the school decided to do away with quite a bit of the homework and it was a little alarming because the homework was like a window into what they were learning. However, it was very tiresome to spend the evenings without much quality time just to complete the homework. Class assignments are sent home for review and the school requires reading logs to be kept as well as math homework. Between these three things and constant communication from the teachers, I feel well informed as to what my children are learning and where I can help them.

The Director of the school instills respect amongst the children, but is friendly and warm at the same time. The children feel comfortable around him and know him well, but also know that being sent to the Principal's office is not for fun.

I've been very satisfied so far. The staff is very caring and take the time to show the children that they matter. At least that's been my experience with my son (2nd grade) and his friends. I also appreciate that the majority of the parents who have sent their children to this school, are caring parents that are involved. This makes a big difference in the dynamic of the school. If you are a parent that likes to have constant communication and like to be involved with your child's school, then this is the school for you.

I love this school because it focuses on teaching the ‘whole child’. Social, emotional and intellectual. Their focus is never ‘teaching to the test’ which I absolutely love. Im not so concerned about my child achieving the highest test scores but rather a child who is healthy- emotionally, socially and well rounded in academics.

My daughter is new to this school, she began school in August 2016. She came from another charter school which I thank God I took out of. She is now learning so much, but most importantly she has been catching up and is now reading very well. This school is great, In lacks nothing (at this point) The director is new, and he is doing an excellent job. He has implemented a phonics/reading program called SIPPS that has helped my daughter tremendously. The school offers online programs for math and reading so the students can practice at home. It is a great school all around, and her teacher is amazing !!! The staff is friendly, the office clerks are very nice and always very helpful. It is a small charter, all families know each other. The school has two classrooms per grade. It is K-6, I would totally recommend this charter.

As a parent with three children I would have to say we've been blessed on so many levels! The teachers and staff are amazing! They care about the whole child and take care of situations as they arise. Our little school has come along way and will continue to strive.

Ldv is great school because they have amazing teachers who are highly educated and well prepared. All the teachers are loving and patient and rely on positive discipline to help the children learn and grow. The class sizes are small. They offer great after school programs at affordable costs. The are looking into having the DASH program next year. There is lots of parent involvement. My children have been attending Ldv since 2010 and every year the school has made great improvements. Don't be thrown off by the test scores, while other schools are focused on preparing kids for the test scores, Ldv prepares you children for their future. My children have learned plenty if not more than what traditional schools are teaching. As I mentioned before the teachers are what makes this school an excellent choice for your children.

My 5 year old enjoys attending this school!!! The way they teach here makes learning more interesting and fun. We as Parents first attended the orientation meetings before the start of the school year, and we can tell the entire staff love their jobs and love to TEACH!! It feels like a small community of neighbors, they hold meetings to keep you informed and encourage parents to be involved as volunteers. We receive weekly e-mails from my son's teacher about what they are about to learn for that week. I couldn't ask for a better school for my boy.

LdVCS is like a home away from home. My children feels safe and nurtured, and is always willing to try new innovative ideas that LdV provides. I love this school, the teachers, staff, parents, and students who grow closer to one another everyday.

I have seen a big improvement in my 4 children, there so exited everyday to go to school. There more calm and enjoy sharing what they learned. They were behind and now in one year attending this school there doing great! Love this school!!!

I am so happy that I found this school! This is the best school ever! I come from a private school, and beleive me this school is waaay better! fisrt of all I love the programs the run very day, the teachers are wonderful my 2 kids are very happy the love the school and their teachers, LDVC is the best school for my kids!!

I was fortunate enough to get our son in the lottery, and after his first year I am so happy to be part of this school. Watching children thrive in the project based curriculum, learn healthy eating habits, and stay fit with the running program has been really wonderful. My son grew so much during his first year, and is now thriving in first grade. The teachers are amazing and dedicated, and the group of involved parents makes such a difference. The new facility the district has provided is really terrific, and I look forward to watching both of my children grow in this wonderful school over the next 8 years.

This is my third year in this school, I have 2 daughters one in 1st grade and one in 2nd grade, this is the best school, the teachers are amazing, their Math program is so good and my daughters are so happy and enjoy every moment they are at school. All staff memebers do a great job too. The Parents are so involved. Nothing can make me happier than see a big smile in my daughters face every day and they are learning too! Priceless..
