If I could give this school a 10 star review I would!! We felt blessed to have found a place for both our 6 year old son and 3 year old daughter, that teaches both the Montessori method as well as Christian values. The teachers and staff were amazing in both classrooms. Each day my kids couldn't wait to go to school!
Our son was in 1st Grade in the Elementary program which exceeded all of our expectations. His reading and writing were average in public school and at Legacy he learned to master these skills! We even noticed he spoke more slowly, clearly and confidently due to the public speaking encouraged in class. The Montessori Method taught him lots of visual ways to learn math skills which reinforced key concepts. He made lots of friends at school and looked forward to playing soccer with them daily.
Our daughter was in the 3 year old class and also improved in her speech as well as fine motor schools. She because much calmer and focused (which is tough for a 3 year old!). We watched her flourish in learning letters, songs, and social skills. The teachers did an amazing job in communicating with us how our daughter's day was going.

Legacy Montessori is an amazing school! My daughter has been going there for the past two years. Shes always excited to tell me about what shes learning. She has ADHD, and is highly intelligent, and I wanted a school that wouldnt hold her back and wouldnt keep her bored. Montessori is a very active education which suits her perfectly and she thrives with the curriculum and the works. And, the teachers are amazing! They always keep me abreast of how she is doing and the progress she is making. They are kind and knowledgeable and she thinks the world of them all.

My son joined Legacy when he turned 2. He is now 3.5 years old. We wanted a safe and nurturing environment for our son. I am did not grow up with Montessori education, but I found all of the reviews accurate. I reached out to one of my LONG time friend from high school who has two kids attending Legacy and gave me the confirmation I needed to enroll my little guy. He's thriving and loving school. The classroom size is very generous and the kids are always happy when I pick up my son afterschool. The staff and director of Legacy are amazing, kind, attentive, and nurturing. If you're looking for a place where your kids can thrive, a place where kids can go to school full time and in person, you've found it. We love our Legacy family.

We moved our daughter here from the local elementary school, and the way she has flourished is absolutely dramatic. She now comes home singing songs she learned in class, and cant wait to tell and show us what she is working on or learning.

We are one of those parents that researched and visited many, many preschools before enrollment. My daughter attended Legacy for several years and is now academically ahead of her entire kindergarten class. We are so pleased with the academics, teachers, staff, and school that now our son is enrolled in Legacy. We simply cant say enough about the Legacy family and education.

Bible lessons every day - and staff that strives to be an excellent example

The director is amazing and goes out of her way to help parents be effective.

They are not a special education school, but they tend to take children as they come and work with them as they are. One of my children is language delayed and they have been open to implementing things to assist. They have never discriminated in any way and love the child to pieces. It does take a strong parent to bring in the correct solutions however.

At the end of elementary school both my children can and do manage their own homework scheduling and planning. They may need help solving something, but they own their own planning.
Posted: June 12, 2019
They are effective - and they care about the kids. It really shows. Both children love going to school.

My girls are aging out - and I am heartbroken to have to leave Legacy and find another school. This has been a wonderful environment for all of us.

Compassion, respect and integrity are strongly emphasized at Legacy.

Ms. Katie is very accessible and easy to talk to. We talk to the administration when we have issues and issues are quickly solved.

Each kid learns at his own pace and kids of different levels thrive.
Posted: February 22, 2019
I believe the school is very disciplinary and has extremely limited tolerance to bullying.
Posted: February 22, 2019
My daughter loves the school and thrives and teachers are extremely caring and accessible. Issues are effectively communicated and quickly solved.

They record each kid's progress and use hands on tools to facilitate learning experience. The 3-5 year old do not really have homework, but they take home every Friday something they have learned during the week, and we might practice those at home.
Posted: February 22, 2019
They are gentle, caring, but also know very well how to make kids listen.
Posted: February 12, 2019
I havent had any issues with bullying or the kids being mean to one another. The teachers are very patient and ensure all the kids are engaged and included.

Katie is very accessible and passionate about the Montessori method and fostering spiritual wisdom in our children.

My son had an IEP through the public school district for speech and they gladly accepted the written copy and we discussed his goals at our parent/teacher conferences.
Posted: February 12, 2019
My children attended from age 3-5 and no homework was given. Which was feast since I work full time.
Posted: February 12, 2019
My children learned so many wonderful skills that help me at home, like pouring water, the pincher grasp, folding clothes, etc. I also feel they are well prepared to begin reading and basic math concepts.
Posted: February 12, 2019
We love everything about it. Its been very positive as our first school experience. Open communication with administration and teachers. No drama! Both of my children attend year round and love it!

Teachers here are good at guiding the students in right way.
Posted: October 23, 2018
Teachers always help the young students use their words to solve their disputes. They also have musical enrichment and speech meet every year, which are very helpful to build the leadership.
Posted: October 23, 2018
Teachers guide the students how to solve disputes, by using their words to set boundaries, by reporting to the teachers, by setting rules to the kids. They have very effective ways.
Posted: October 23, 2018
The teachers teach students in a very effective Montessori way. They help to make students understand practice makes perfect.

I love the teachers here. They do have love and patience.

This is a Christian Montessori school. Besides academics, they teach kids Bible and how to pray. All kids learn the 9 spiritual fruit of God.

Ms Katie is a Christian with great vision on education.

It is Montessori setting that has mixed students from 3-6 years old. Everyone gets their own tasks based on their own learning ability and pace.

We did not experience anything personally but we know some kids are separated / changed class

Legacy is a wonderful school with great focus on not just academics but also overall social, emotional, and physical development of the child. My son started attending Legacy at 4.5yrs last year Sep 2013 after having attended another Montessori for a year prior to that. We're glad that we moved him to Legacy. In the other school he had to be pushed to go to school everyday. He was not very happy there and neither did he learn too much. Now at Legacy, he loves going to school and is learning with great joy. He totally loves his teachers Ms. Shay and Ms. Lanaia. We really value the nurturing Christian environment that the school offers. My son's teachers are very loving and caring, and at the same time enforce good discipline in class. It is hard to find a school that offers great emphasis on academics and also on character building, creativity, and all physical activity. But fortunately Legacy is very balanced in all these areas. Our only regret is that we didn't move him to Legacy earlier.

Our oldest daughter , age 6, has just completed her third academic year at Legacy Montessori. We hope she begins elementary class this September. Our younger daughter completed her first academic year. I always feel my daughters are safe because Legacy's vision is built upon the Cornerstone Who Is Jesus of Nazareth. Ms. Katie and Ms. Carol select teachers whose vocation is to build Christian character in addition to academic skill. Legacy's team-teaching is fantastic: as a former middle school teacher I know effective team-teaching and my daughters bring that vision home in song and story.

My daughter and my son has been attending Legacy Montessori for almost a year. And I am so happy to see how much they are learned. When my daughter first came to the school, she could recognize all the letters. Now she can read a simple book with little help. Her writing also improved amazingly in the past a few weeks. It's so heart warming to see she wrote love her letters to her friends, parents, and grandparents. She also grows into a more confident happy girl. As a child not so easy to adapt to new environment, it took her quite a few months to blend in. Sometimes, she would just sit there and watch other kids play and don't want to participate. The teachers were so encouraging and supportive. They helped me to setup play dates with other kids. Now she has lots of friends in the class and is always happy. When my son first came, he couldn't understand English at all. The first a few week, he cried every morning. But it got better each day. Now he is such a happy boy. He loves his teachers. The first and the last thing he wants to do when comes to and leaves the classroom is to give the teachers each a hug. The kids there are almost well trained and well behaved.

Finding Legacy Montessori has been a real blessing. Not only do I believe in the Montessori philosophy and the school s implementation (not all Montessori school s are created equal!), I also believe in the teachers. The Director has done a great job of hand-picking real gems to teach our children. My two and four-year old girls honestly love their teachers, and the teachers love them back. They care for them in a genuine way, and they try to instill all of the values that I want my girls to have. I am also amazed by how much my girls have learned there. I feel lucky to have found a place my girls love to attend, and I can leave to work guilt-free because I know they are in good hands. This school does it all. The program is about nurturing the whole child- spiritually, emotionally, socially and academically. They also partner with you in discipline and anything else you want to work on. I have to give special mention to Ms. Bianca, Ms. Alaina, Ms. Faith, and Ms. Geneva (although I love them all!), who ve been with my kids from the start and have made it a pleasurable experience throughout our time there. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
