Lifetime Montessori School

We are so happy to have found Lifetime Montessori School! Our child started attending the Elementary program last Fall and we couldn't be more pleased. The classroom environment is welcoming and spacious, and the instructors are excellent. Mrs. Stone is an amazing facilitator of learning for the children - she is able to keep the kids engaged in a peaceful setting and provides families with regular updates on each individual child's progress. Even though there is no homework in Montessori, I know our daughter is learning because she talks about the lessons and often surprises us with the materials she's working on. Ms. Nikirra, the Elementary assistant, is wonderful with the kids, and even the Primary teachers we have had contact with are always friendly and kind. The Director, Kristen, is so dedicated and caring - her own child is attending the Elementary program, so you know she is committed and invested to provide a quality education at the school. We look forward to watching our child continue to foster her love of learning and building close friendships with her classmates as she grows with the program. We feel confident our child will have a strong foundation to prepare her for whatever lies ahead in the future, due in large part to LMS. We are so grateful to have found this amazing school. This is our daughter's first year in the elementary program at Lifetime Montessori, after 3 years in a AMI certified primary Montessori classroom. Though she was only 5 at the time she started, and based on birthday would have been placed in kindergarten in public school, Kristin Edwards (Director) and Mrs. Stone (elementary guide) took the time to assess our daughter and find out if elementary would be an appropriate fit for her. Though the 1st-3rd class is small, approx 8-12 children throughout the year, we have found that 3-4 children at each level in the class allows for plenty of co-work and friends to enjoy. Mrs. Stone is a wonderful guide for the elementary children, solid in her understanding and practice of Montessori , very knowledgeable and allows the children to learn real lessons of accountability and consequences, with appropriate guidance. Our daughter has continued to excel in school throughout this year, with the freedoms to write stories, plays and create drawings, after her core work is completed. These are her passions and we love that she is able to do these things every day. Her vocabulary and curiosity has grown and I can tell that this is a result of the nature of her environment and guide. We have been very pleased with the staff at the school, in addition to the environment as a whole.
