I would Not recommend the school for any new middle schooler or family looking to enroll their daughter. I have found through our experience that on the second week of school my daughter was attacked in a bathroom and there were several girls in the bathroom when it happened and when I called to follow up about the incident because nobody called me and all I got was a message in the portal I was told that it was being taken very seriously versus telling me what happened with the other child. The child was still allowed on campus the next day . On top of that, I have found that Ive reached out to the school several times about my concerns about my childs education and I was given no call back or follow up to my questions on how we can collaborate as parents at school to make sure that she stays on the right path when it comes to her schoolwork and not being distracted. I was told I couldnt speak to the principal as my concerns werent major which is crazy. They try and sell you on this community setting which is an absolutely lie. The office staff is rude and unhelpful except Lisa she has been great. Last tidbit when going to unenroll her instead of trying to see why or how we could work together it was are you unenrolling or not attitude.

When my daughter found out she was going to an all girl charter school she was upset. She wanted to be in a regular public school with all of her friends so I told to try it out. She is now a 7th grader and loves Gals! It only took her a couple of weeks to get comfortable and she immediately made new friends! She's now thriving and doing great! Everyone at Gals is very friendly and supportive, from the principal, to the teachers, to the staff. I highly recommend Gals.

Hello,
Being a mother of 4, I was really intentional about placing my oldest daughter in a place she felt comfortable, seen and supported. Coming from a private school, I started to see a decline in her academic post Covid; unfortunately her school did not have the resources to support her. I was able to find GALS and recently found out that a family member also had their child attending the school and she is in college. GALS has been transparent in the way they encourage and help the students achieve their higher success. I plan on coming her here until she graduates. She expresses how she is comfortable here.

I sent my child here to finish middle school, and it has been a horrible experience. The teaching is poormy child is relearning material they had already covered the previous year. Their old school provided a much better education. The staff does not care about students well-being, and my child suffered asthma attacks as a result. The school is very dirty, with feminine hygiene products stuffed into crevices where they do not belong. Additionally, they do not address the use of slurs. In one incident, someone used the N-word in a public Zoom meeting. A staff member claimed this would be investigated, yet nothing was done. I do not recommend this schoolsend your child to a better one.

Students are not given busy work. Their homework is an extension of what they learned during the school day. It's often online and easy to access.

My daughter has been part of Gals for the past 3 years best decision I made by choosing this school! Finally an opportunity for girls to attend an all girls school in the valley! Its almost impossible for kids to fall behind because teachers are so motivational and always provide the resources they need to get them back on track.

The 2 years that my daughter has been at GALS it has been a great experience with awesome teachers. Because of the great teachers she had these past 2 years, she grew passionate for Math and History.
Can't stop saying it, the teachers are the best, they are great, because of that they make the learning experience, a fun one and a great one. My daughter will graduate this year but she has enjoyed the experience, had great teachers, made great friends.
