As a first time homeschool parent, co-teaching with Mrs. Camacho and Mountain Oaks has been very successful. Curriculum, flexibility, and overall experience has been great. We will be continuing with the homeschool program for many years to come and look forward to what the program has to offer us in the future.

Weve been a Mountain Oaks (formerly Phoenix Learning Center) family for 10 years. My oldest son promoted from 8th grade a few years ago well prepared for high school thanks to MOs rigorous curriculum, which incorporates GATE strategies and methodologies, providing an education rich in depth and complexity.
Currently, my 2 youngest children still attend MO. We find the staff to be caring, compassionate and well trained. Our family enjoys the homeschool Fridays, which affords us time to engage in fun activities or trips on Fridays and gives us the flexibility to complete the work later in the weekend if we need to.
During Covid, we also took one year to school through their home study program, which was a great experience. Our teacher worked with me and allowed me to curate my own curriculum, while ensuring all state standards were met.
The one draw back has always been the lack of outdoor space, but the PTO is actively working with the school administration and other professionals to get our scholars some fresh air and sunshine (ps. All students at Mountain Oaks are Scholars. The title of students , just wont do another thing we love about MO)

Weve had a wonderful experience with the JCS Home Study Program! It has truly allowed our kids to thrive! The daily flexibility to move at each childs pace, whether that means taking extra time to master a concept or advancing quickly when theyre ready, has been invaluable. Choosing a curriculum that best fits each childs needs has also made all the difference.
We are especially grateful for our educational facilitator, Mrs. Camacho, who is always responsive, encouraging, and consistently goes above and beyond to support our family.
This program stands out for its fantastic enrichment opportunities and the chance for students to share and present their work to peers. These experiences have built our kids confidence and kept them excited about learning. We feel so fortunate to be part of this program and wholeheartedly recommend it to families seeking a personalized and supportive educational journey.
