I have a child graduating from Trabuco Hills in a few days, his experience has been wonderful. The level of support and encouragement he has received over the past 4 years has been truly exceptional. He's delveloped great relationships with teachers and administrators. He has been able to choose from a huge course catalog, over 100 clubs, numerous athletic pathways, and many visual and performing art opportunities. I would recommend this school to anyone. I'm very grateful for the experience.

my experience at this school has been awful, people treat everyone like trash and nobody gets disciplined for it. some of the teachers even yell and insult the students. the students are horrible to each other and make me wonder if they’ve ever been disciplined or if they even have parents to teach them proper behavior at all. most of the students literally harass others during class, and the teachers don’t even care/notice it. people are literally racist, and this school supposedly promotes kindness?? we have substitutes all the time and most of the teachers can’t even teach correctly, or their worksheets have a ton of errors. insane and so embarrassing.

My kid is Senior in upcoming year. The experience I have in the past three years has been frustration from the school administrations.
They are non-responsive to parent's communications and would not work with the parents. Despite the great promises and "care about our students" talk in every school meets, there's no follow through.

The courses offered are limited and my kid had to "self-studied" on few subjects in order to full-fill the requirements because the courses are not offered while they are commonly available at other schools. The students coming out of the school are ill-prepared and poorly competitive when applying for colleges.

Above all, the school would not work with parents and listen to parents. They post on social media for school announcements instead of the proper channels such as emails. Parents get silent treatments if they want to engage with school. There were few instances of school shut-down last year due to violent near by and getting information from school were impossible.

I would NOT mess up some other parent's kid by recommending to this school!

I have a Freshman daughter and Junior son who really like the school and are flourishing. You definitely get more out of it by being an involved parent/volunteering where you can, from sports, band, clubs, etc. (It helps keep you in the loop on HS life, and it's fun to socialize with other parents too.) Like all high schools, there's good and bad kids, but mine have found a solid group of friends. The community of parents, staff and students overall is great. Lots of opportunities for school spirit and a sense of belonging. They also have regular meetings of "Coffee with the Principal" where parents get updates from staff and can ask questions. My only gripe is not enough guidance counselors for the vast amount of students, so you need to keep on top of college stuff on your own to make sure you're prepared, or else hire a college consultant.

Overall good, mostly because I kept to myself and was pretty smart so I was in smarter classes, where teachers are generally nicer and students care less about you.

After moving from north OC, I was originally sceptical about THHS, as I was familiar with Anaheim Hills, Yorba Linda, Villa Park schools. However, after my daughter attended THHS for 4 years, I must say I was delighted with what my child was able to achieve and have pleasure recommending it without reservation. My daughter achieved captain varsity basketball, scholar athlete and received a congressional nomination to the air force academy. If you work hard at this school, you will do well.

Trabuco is an okay school, but best serves students that are self directed and not students in the middle or who have academic challenges/struggling. We have two children that attended THHS. My daughters is a self starter that took her academics seriously and did decently at Trabuco. But her teachers were a mix; some very good/dedicated and others less so. She graduated with an okay experience and is doing well in college. But for kids who are in the middle or who struggle, but do not qualify for special education (not on an IEP), there are very few (if any) support services available. We also found administration to be lacking - not helpful or compassionate when our son was having a hard time in school (has ADHD). Despite being on academic probation his first semester, there was no support offered. High achieving kids will do fine, but I would not recommend this school for a child needing additional services. We've since enrolled our son in private school and he is doing great.

This school has a great Athletics program. But that's about it. Beware of teachers like Mrs. Fait. She teaches Ceramics. Unless you are the star pupil, you'll have to fight to keep a passing grade.

This is a great school, I have two boys going there right now. My oldest is a senior and he takes honors and AP classes. He has been challenged and is well prepared for college. My other son is a sophmore and has some learning disabilities. Their RSP program is great and everyone works together to accomodate the student.

My son transferred into this school to take advantage of an award winning band program, but found academic teachers who seemed more interested in showing movies than actually teaching. From other parents, I have heard that the teachers of the higher level classes are great, but in average classes, my son did not get the help or instruction he needed. When he tried to get math tutoring, he was told it was not available for his class. When calling the front office, it is difficult if not impossible to speak to a human being, and my son's guidance counselor seldom returned calls, explaining when she did call back that she was "too busy". If you have an academic over achiever, this school may be great for your family, but if you have an average student - forget it. Your student will not get the help and guidance they need to graduate.
