My daughter went here 23-25. She was in honors classes. Some of the teachers were difficult but most tried to engage the students and wanted them to learn. She said she always felt safe in the bathrooms etc and never witnessed vaping on campus or fights.

This school seriously needs to re-evaluate how their staff treats student. It's very obvious that certain students get singled out and spoken to in a rude, dismissive, and even demeaning way, while others are treated with patience and respect. They have a toxic environment where kids feel targeted too. I would not recommend this school at all.

There are many fights at this school that us parents do not even know about. They also love to praise the vaping and slacker students instead of the ones that actually do the work. The attendance is so bad at this school. The attendance clerk told a student “ attendance is not even that big of a deal”. Who says that!? Now that Ms. Baxter is retiring this place will be even worse. She is the only one that wanted these kids to grow up & become something. There is one bathroom that is open and students are always vaping in there. Female teachers favor male students. When students try and ask a question the teacher says “ figure it out”! It’s YOUR job to help not sit at your desk. Really disappointed by this school.

My children attend here. The drugs, violence, bullying, education, and staff are all bad.

School is not bad for the most part. But they have huge problems when bringing substitutes for certain subjects. Our daughter had a substitute for her math class for almost half of the year all the way to the end of the school year. Our daughter told us there was a problem with one of the electronic test, that there was a software error that affected the test problems, where a lot of the problems had no possible answers with the provided options, for example the answer was a number and the options provided on the multiple choice were only a, b, c and d and no numbers. By consequence her overall mark went from A to B-, she’s a straight A student btw. She talked with the substitute teacher and pointed out the error many times only to get back a “ I’m just a substitute and can’t do anything about it”, we even wrote the school and only got silcence. Seems that some of the substitutes are working for free, just do bare minimum and could care less about the students future. This is unacceptable, to have people like this in charge of the future of this nation to care so little about it, they want these kids to start behaving like adults but then they get ignored like this. It might just be a B- but she worked hard for all her A’s, being cheated like this is detrimental for a kids mental stability specially at this crucial age. All she had gotten from this school is the feeling of exclusion and neglect.

I attended in 93/94. I loved this school. I did my work and took responsibility for myself. In 7th grade I got straight A's and Honor Roll. I don't remember having one bad teacher. I really enjoyed shop and crafts. I was not a fan of certain subjects but I tried my best. I don't blame any of the teachers or the school. There were a couple kids that were mean but nothing I couldn't handle. Kids these days are soft and entitled little sh*ts. Don't blame the school or teacher's. Blame the PARENTS.

I love this school. All of my teachers are great and love to interact with the students. They care about what grades a student is getting and are great at their jobs. I was on the Track and Field team this year, and it was one of my favorite experiences at this school. We have a smaller team than Carnegie, about 30 kids, and because of the smaller size everyone got to know everyone and we had a great team bond. Also Pasteur has a Solar Regatta club, which is an after school club that designs a solar powered boat, teaching students about electronics and woodworking. SMUD puts on a big Solar Regatta race with other boats made be various high schools and middle schools in the region. Pasteur is the only middle school in the district that has this club. I live this school and I think that any kid would enjoy it too.

This is a great school full of amazing students and caring, passionate teachers. Middle school is a tough time for kids, but I feel that this school offers a lot of opportunities for them to succeed. Check out this school and get involved when you get here.

This s joke is a joke. This will be my second year going and I thought middle school would be cool or fun. The teachers here don't really pay any attention to the kids. They try to get on without ever interacting with the students. Some like the VP actually act as if they are a middle school student. She is very big on gossiping with us and about the other teachers. My friend has a history teacher she says never looks up from his computer but she like him anyway. Over all I can't say I am being education on anything but what not to grow up to be. These teachers should be on TV because they are ALL a joke. Can't wait until high school Peace out
