here my kids don't feel safe in a environment with gang wannabes bringing guns into campus and going into a lock down. Don't get me started on the teacher they sent my child home because he said something without raising his hand mvery unfair education

The school protects bullies. The food sucks. Some teachers don't grade fairly.

Our family moved to Fallbrook last year and we were nervous because all of the public schools in Fallbrook were rated so poorly. Turns out, the ratings were wrong! I don't know how these ratings are configured but I was compelled to get on here and leave a review of my own because my children's experience at the Fallbrook public schools has been fabulous. My daughter started Fallbrook High as a freshman last year and didn't know a soul. The students were so inclusive and welcoming. She is a very strong student and has been challenged academically in the Honors and Dual Language Immersion programs. The teachers are top notch and the administration is engaged and communicative. There are more sports and clubs offered here than at any other school I have heard of and I feel like I am in an episode of Friday Night Lights when I go to the football games. The community here is the best and we couldn't be happier that our daughter will graduate from FHS!

This is the worst school I have ever attended. if you want your kids to be emotionally scarred than this is the school for you.

Posted: November 18, 2019

The teachers don't collect or hold their students accountable. They give homework and you either do it or don't. There's no system for it

Posted: November 18, 2019

They pay little to no attention to their students accept when it comes to negative behavior. Most sit on their phones or scrolling through Facebook on their computers.

Posted: November 18, 2019

They have allowed continuous assaults, gang violence, fights, and weapons to enter campus. Most students do not get in trouble for their actions

Posted: November 18, 2019

The staff does nothing to protect students

Posted: November 18, 2019

I was a student with learning differences and most teachers would not allow me to use my IEP or leave the classroom during high stress situations. The IEP teachers were often quite rude as well, belittling my interests and claiming that my feelings weren't valid.

They do have a good ROTC program. Some of the students that are enrolled in the program, show a fair amount of potential. Majority of the students though are troublemakers and kids that have never been disciplined.

Leadership? What leadership? Unfortunately there is none.

Posted: June 5, 2019

Although I saw several instances of bullying, I was never in any higher up conversations about what was done, as that was not my place.

Posted: June 5, 2019

Maybe one star? Maybe. The school is old and definitely needs improvements but they don't have the money for it as they are constantly in a budget crisis. There is very little communication with management. I would not recommend working at this school or enrolling your child into this school.

Although I feel that some schools give too much homework to students, that is not the case at this school. As a former employee (special education paraprofessional whom was also in the general public), the students are rarely given any homework.

Posted: June 5, 2019

Some teachers are there to actually teach but, for the most part, the teachers don't do much. Lots of movie days. Lots of "here's a worksheet, do it before the end of the period" days too.

Our student will let us know if teachers are lazy or don't help much. She only had 1 teacher last year she wasn't impressed with. She liked a lot of her other teachers and coaches, and we felt confident they were helping her grow in a positive direction.

Posted: August 8, 2018

That's our job as parents. My daughter has complained about some pot-smoking on campus. But there are also a lot of good mentors from the coaching and teaching staff we've met.

Posted: August 8, 2018

We don't have much interaction with the executive staff, but the support staff are always helpful and knowledgeable.

FUHS has Honors and AP courses for kids who need more of a challenge.

Overall great so far! There are a lot of sports and academic programs to let the students grow in any number of directions.

Due to funding cuts they let go of the resource officer and the beginning of this year. Well.....in 2 months the school has been on lock down twice, nearly ALL day because kid brought guns on campus. 5 gallon buckets were brought into the classrooms for the kids to pee in and since they missed lunch they delivered donuts.....MULTIGRAIN donuts. What the hell is a multigrain donut? And really that's enough for starving, growing boys who missed lunch? It is difficult for my son to learn in class because the kids are out of control and disrespectful and the teacher fail to control them. There is a HUGE issue with gangs on this campus. Administration turns a blind eye. I'm looking into moving to Temecula ONLY because this school is SO bad.

It's sad what this school has turned into. Teachers seem to be there for a paycheck and nothing more.

Fallbrook high is what you are willing to put in to the school and classes. I had 3 kids attend Fbk High and 3 different experiences. If they choose to get involved and they can excel at Fallbrook. The teaches and staff at the upper level are great. The kids that participate in track, drama and other activities have been awesome. If you and your child choose to slack off, FBK will not stop you from failing. Here, it is up to the parent and the child to excel.

as a parent i notice my son was having difficulties trying to transition from a school like great oak high school. Fallbrook High School has urged him to hate school due to the lack of teaching organization, and too many "cholos" Both I and my Son are fet up with this school and we are looking for a transfer to GOHS (great oak high school.)
