My experience in this school was very unpleasant. My son was getting bullied by multiple students I was going to the office once a week to speak to vice principal and the principal. They said they would protect my student given he had a recent concussion playing his sport. One of the bullies went to my sons classroom to look for him to fight him. The teacher was in the classroom and i couldnt believe the teacher that was a substitute didnt do anything about it. I really thought it was a great school after going to their orientation. I was wrong. I requested an appointment to speak to another principal she was very helpful. I ended up moving my son to a different school. Best decision Ive ever made. Please be careful with this school. Think twice about sending your 9th grader here.

My sons schedule was full of engaging teachers who cared for their students even though at times that could be difficult given the clientele of students that attend the school. But, the teachers did care, and for the most part, it seemed as if they were making the absolute best of the situations in front of them. My son really wanted to play football at the school, even though I was against the sport for safety reasons, I allowed him to play because I hoped it would build his character. Boy was I wrong. The football coaching staff is flush with men taking their coaching jobs far too seriously and completely ignoring the fact that the young men on their team need social and emotional building as much as they do athletic building. coach Braswell, his coordinator on the team, was simply strange. At first glance I ignored the foul language and machismo building as just part of the deal. By the time I hoped to see the fruit of my sons labor, I instead saw a kid afraid of his coaches, Braswell in particular, instead of inspired by them. He needed men in life that would see him as an athlete after a student, not an athlete that could be a stepping stone to a coaching job at another school, which I know a few of the coaches see as their trajectory. MMHS, do better!

I attended the school and it was a great school for me. Led to my very successful career as a safety professional. Great athletic department and great coaches.
Would definitely send my kids to the school but I moved out of the area as a younger adult.

I would rate my school as a great school entirely because I have never been to a public high school and Mount Miguel was my first one and I am currently attending as a Junior. I love the teachers and the staff is very friendly, but people give us a bad rap and call us " Mount Mighetto" but if they actually went to Mount they would think differently about it. The classes aren't too crowded and every student gets the help they need whether its tutorial or Saturday scholars and there are so many things to do at Mount Miguel during break, lunch and after school from going in the choir room to going in the game room and after school going to the ice cream trucks.

The teachers earn respect from the students here at Mount Miguel because they make sure they get what they need and don't care if the student likes them or not and the teachers gives off a type of aura that yells compassion in what they do so the students imitate it in the subject that they are best in.

A lot of the students and the teachers are amazing leaders they take charge when the time calls for it and when it is needed.

Because some of the students that aren't in special needs some have mental disorders that keep them from working, some teachers know how to deal with a student that has them, whilst others don't really know how and punish the student thinking that they are just goofing off and just plain out refusing to do their work.

With our campus security bullying isn't a single concern or thought about bullying.

I really enjoyed my four years at Mount Miguel. I build very strong connections with many of the staff members. Teachers are great, caring, and loving. You definitely get plenty of leadership and community service opportunities, if and only if, you put yourself out there and get involved.
#Shoutout to the Matador Business Academy. Great program.
